I would put the value at about 10c/chip if the "G" hotstamp works for you. They are lightweight plastic chips...not sure if you've ever handled these?

The Unicorns are pretty nice plastic chips. They stack and handle well, and aren’t very slippery. Definitely a huge upgrade from dice chips.

I think they were 28¢/chip new when Game On sold them. 18¢ seems kind of high for chips with someone else’s initial on them.

I’m not sure if plastic chips can be milled for a label, but then you’re talking 30¢/chip, plus milling cost or time. Now you’re in custom ceramics price range.

There are at least three kinds of unicorn chips. There are the very rare “clay trial run” unicorn chips. There are plastic super diamond type chips. And there are almost ceramic-y unicorns that came from chipco. These look like the super diamond kind.

I didn’t realize there were super diamond-type unicorns. They’d also be similar to the mermaids and Mr Luckys, right? If so, they’re garbage.

I own some right now. They suck tremendously! You are correct.

I have some of the nice ones, too, and they’re great. But there are also some that are really cheap, and slick, similar to the ubiquitous super diamonds. There are also some actual compression molded clays. I believe I have a rack of those.

I have no interest in Fracs, milling, or relabeling. I have zero use for fracs (luckily), and certainly don’t want any part of modifying any chips.

There's at least 2 different variations of Mermaid chips. BTW, those ejection marks are only on one side, so if you see a photo without them, it may be the "clean" side.
Variation 1 (with border around each mermaid , but no hot-dog shaped spacer):
