Greetings PCF, I am looking to host a two table tournament for my birthday. Will be a fun a relaxed atmosphere. $20 buy in, no re buys, 15 min blind raises.
The problem I have is I only have a 4 colour poker set and everything I have found online assumes you have 5 colours. I have access to around 1,000 chips. Please help lol

are these non-denominated chips?

I played many games for years with non-denom's before getting fancy with nicer chips. A simple structure of 25/100/500/1000 will work depending on your breakdown.

Do you want rebuys?
Starting stack value of 3000-5000 is plenty for a 2 table tournament blinds starting at 25/50........

The problem most will have is they start with T25 or T100, and they have both a T500 and a T1000 chip. These chips are somewhat inefficient because they are so close to each other in value. No problem if you have 5 or more denominations, but with just 4 your best bet is to either go with the suggestion of @Ben8257 (100, 500, 2000, 10,000) which is unconventional and a little controversial to some, or go with what @Pgheddie said and play T5. (5, 25, 100, 500) 1000 chips should be more than enough to cover two tables. Just let us know what the chip counts are and we'll help you get set up.

Go with me - if there is one thing everyone on this forum knows about me: I hate controversy.

I’ve recently decided (today) to switchup my tournament set to 4 colors because I’m a bit of a drinker and the less coloring up the better. Plus more chips on the table is fun. And who doesn’t love a blaze orange 100?
T20000 tournament.

Oryx, meet chipinla.

His name isn't chip, and he doesn't live in LA.

I know, I was disappointed too.
