Modifed PM I sent to DD with suggestions/options:
Current set up (including both $25 chips):
I know you weren't thrilled by the Pick Hobson's. I think that's just because the Money Tree $5 pops so much. But maybe its more because you are looking for a tri-moon to match the set.
I know I am way more OCD that you, but I'd tend to agree you are looking for a tri-moon $20/$25 chip. If it were me, I'd also be looking for something that
isn't New China or Money Tree. If you are building a mixed casino set, it should be different casinos. Otherwise, it looks like a Money Tree set with a New China one thrown in.
I'd also stick to Reno if possible, but its not mandatory seeing as the New China Club doesn't have Reno stamped on it.
With those guidelines, there are a handful of options. Unfortunately, nothing that doesn't bust your budget:
I think the Mapes $25 is exactly what you are looking for (other than fitting in to your budget):
Great contrast, trimoon (and multi color trimoon at that -- like your fiver), and a Reno chip. Perfect.
Another option which I think would contrast well with your set and yet, fits in nicely:
Another option:
I really like the Overland. Its listed as dark green, but it looks dark blue in that picture. I think it would get confusing with the New China ones, but if you could find these in quantity, I'd be looking for a new one (I know you really like the New China ones, tho).
If you are okay with options that aren't tri-moon, the Palace Club and an alternate Mapes are both options that won't get mixed up too easy. Candidly, a non-tri moon will look very similar in stacks, IMO.
If you are okay with another Money Tree chip, the Money Tree $25 works well. Its identical to the Mapes chip, which is why I think I like the Mapes option so much...if you go with this chip, my first though would be to trade in the New China ones for Money Tree ones -- but I hate the Money Tree ones and it wouldn't go with your set -- that alone makes this chip a non-option (to me):
If you are okay with getting outside of Reno (and ditching the tri-moon options), here's an option (I didn't look much outside of Reno, so there may be other options too):
Just rambling and giving you some visual options to decide on.
