$.89 each for casino Paulsons. Nice looking chips, but hard to say if they're all in okay shape. All the good ones would make up a 2000 order. Someone with a Sonic cleaner grab these.
 
Very odd format, why not just set a buy it now? The seller says to place an "auction" for $1780 if you want 2000 chips, but who's going to place the 2nd bid that moves the auction to that price? In other words, it looks like he's trying to get around eBay fees, which means the sale would take place outside of the auction.

PayPal does give some protection, but it's still concerning especially considering the minimum order of 2000 chips. I really like the original Palm Beach Cruise inlay, so it pains me to see those stickers defacing some of the chips. Condition is also hard to ascertain considering how dirty they are and the lack of quality pictures coupled with the sheer volume.

Too bad this wasn't just a straight auction for all those chips, just imagine the bidding war and almost certainly one hell of a deal.

Those shaped inlay 5s, 25s and 100s look pretty good. I really like the colors and spots. Seems like a good deal for 89c pr chip for those. 2k chip minimum is a lot though, but probably a decent investment for those who have the cash for it. Assuming the chips are in relatively good condition at least. Agree with the above though, strange format sale. Probably a good idea to contact the seller directly and ask for more pictures and whatnot.
 
Got all the H&Cs. 2400 chips in all. I'll post pics when they get in. Going to take awhile to rehab them.

Let's hope they are in decent shape. Kind of a gamble on my part floating 0.89c a chip. I'll be selling over half of these for sure. Couldn't let these slip away from our community. 8a18 and 4W414 don't come around that often at those prices.

I didn't snag all of the chips available. I left all of the roulettes, hexagon's, BJish chips.

I'll admit the seller seems a tad shady but I feel OK considering eBay is involved. I imagine he'll update quantities on the original listing. I was very clear in my messages to him that I was only bidding on certain chips. eBay gets their fees - but I agree it was an odd way to set up a sale.
 
Those $5s look to be in better shape than the rack I had (sold last year). Mine had at least two different shades of red, too. And filthy.

GAH. I hate eBay sellers that don't know what they're doing. I pinged this guy really early, as soon as I saw this thread and even before I posted in it (btw thanks @AfterTheFact !) and told him I wanted to buy all of the Palm Beach Cruise Line chips. He replied late last night to confirm, and said he would "prepare an eBay link for that exact quantity and amount and send it to you." I replied, sounds good, looking forward to it.

Nothing this morning, I go out for a few hours and come back to find a message from him with a link to a buy-it-now auction that is not unique in any way, and of course someone has already grabbed it. Then I read the updates in this thread, so I assume it's bivey (but if it's not, then that might confirm the seller is shady.)

Happy that it's a PCFer that snagged them, but annoyed in general, that so often the people with the stuff I want, have no idea what they're doing, and just aggravate me.


In any case -- bivey, please put me down for two racks each of the $25s and $100s.
 
I sure wish there were more (OK, any) of the $1 chips available, too.
 
Interesting...the seller has been in contact with me last night and this morning and sent me pics of the chips we obv want stacked so I could see the edges. I just assume the largest bid got their choice of chips. Worst auction ever. lol. As long as they make it to the community I guess.

If the Paypal invoice was not associated with an eBay auction, then is there still buyer protection? Would hate to see anyone get scammed.
