Okay so after a couple hundred in samples including Paulson I have decided to go with the Tiki chips. No one that I would ever play with would appreciate the Paulsons. Here is my problem. There are 6 different colored chips in the Tiki line and honestly I would like to have all of them at some level. There would be no more then 10 players and I use that term loose. It would just be guys from work who don't play on a normal basis. I can change the denominations on the chips if nesseary since I think the 2 smaller chips would be hard to use in a Tournament setting. Current offering with out custom is

.25cents blue
$1 white
$5 red
$25 green
$100 black
$500 Purple
$1000 orange

there are a couple plaque offerings too that I would buy a few of just for fun or once down to the last few players

While I understand I could do this with just $25 -1000 ( 4 chips ) I feel like I want the other ones involved in some way since these chips are pretty fun and the family likes them and truth is I will be playing with my wife and kids more then other people. I just overdue things when I do them so... Looking to buy no less then 500 chip set but would buy more if needed. Any thoughts or help would be great. I was thinking 5-10 blinds to start? We are a bunch of car salesman so I don't see the games lasting more then an hour or 2 before its over. Lots of all ins with 7, 2 off suit would be my guess. LOL.

Option 2 is just to keep everything the way it is without custom changes to the $$ amounts and just bust out the smaller ones with family or any smaller cash games that may come along but I would rather have them all in play so this is a far 2nd choice.

On a side note its been about 14 years or so since I have played. I used to go play tournaments and the casinos all the time but kids and life changed that. Just looking to get back to a little fun. Hold'em would be the game by the way

Shoot for a five-denomiation set with a Bounty chip to use all six colors:

120 x T25
120 x T100
50 x T500
75 x T1000
25 x T5000
10 x Bounty
--------------
400 chips

This is plenty for ten 12/12/5/6/x starting stacks up to T20k (up to 400bb with 25/50 opening blinds, so very flexible/versatile), with extra T1000s for T25/T100 color-ups, and enough T5000s for T500 color-up (if needed), re-buys/add-ons (if offered), and starting stacks larger than T10K.

If you want more chips (they certainly aren't needed) or all seven colors, add another 10x Re-buy chips, and load up on the T5000s for the balance.

Lose the red chip, make the blue chip your T5000 and the white chip the bounty (maybe even go with the 43mm size on this chip).

okay. I officially feel like I need to read a book. Lol. I don’t recall playing with a bounty chip so I need to read up on that. So you are saying each player should start with about 35 chips?

This may become my first ceramic tournament set as well!
What would the set look like for up 16 or even 18 players? The chip calculator indicates 627 chips. I would like to get this right the first time.

Some quick searching found the following, hope it helps:

I went with the universal, and BG approved 600 chip set.

T 25 - 160
T 100 - 160
T 500 - 80
T 1k - 140
T 5k - 60

With 5 extras each. Perfect for 1 (12/12/5/7) or 2 (8/8/4/7) table 10k starting stacks.

Correct - that 600 chip set supports one table up to T35K stacks (12/12/5/6/5), while also supporting 20 players with 20K stacks (8/8/4/7/2) or 10K stacks with re-buys.

Thanks, @BSteck -- ^those^ two would be my 'standard' 600-chip and 400-chip tournament set recommendations for 10-player 10K events (the former with capability for handling two tables). For a 'standard' 20-player 20K set, I recommend 800 chips (240/240/100/160/60).

However, most of my personal sets are geared towards supporting at least two 8-player tables with up to 200K starting stacks:

200 x T25
200 x T100
100 x T500
200 x T1000
200 x T5000
100 x T25000

You certainly don’t need to use bounty chips. I hate bounty tournaments. Lots of people like them. Honestly, if you’re playing a casual game with a bunch of idiots, it might be a good idea.
But my point is, it’s definitely not like a standard thing that’s required.

We don’t usually play bounties. Just figured have them to keep that option open. I’m looking for the set to be flexible.

What should he do if you have to do in quantities of 25?

UGH.... Just got a sample set of Royal poker chips and love them the best.. Even more then the Tiki. Lol. this sucks, no wonder why you guys have so many sets. I thought for sure I would not like the larger chip and left them out of both my 1st and 2nd round orders of samples. This was a fluke order and man am I glad I did. Still ordering a smaller set of Tiki for the family when we play though.
