I just can't justify paying $8 a chip which seems to be what they are going for. Too much for me. So I'll just stare longingly at these pictures and imagine what it would be like to have these.

That was exactly what i thought when I joined the site. Then i got some low cost used Paulson chips from a coupke of the Vendor sales (Cincinnati $1s, Native Lights $5s, then $100s)... then it quickly escalates.
At least you're in the US and it's easier to buy and sell. Then again, living in Canada has likely saved me from having a ton more chips (good? Bad?).
It's crazy that when you step back and look at it.... $8 a chip for bright beautiful 43mm 8vs is a "great" price. I say this loosely because its a hell of a lot of money but casino used/retired 43mm chips go for like 12-20 a chip with some going for well over that. In terms of making a set, the NaGB/GB 43mm chips are the most cost efficient way, and a lot of the chips are the nicest, color palette wise.

Yeah you should have seen what 3 racks of Jacks secondary 1K’s and 1 rack of Jacks primary 5K’s cost me... these SB’s are a steal!!
A truckload of dollar bills I'm guessing haha. Those Secondary 1ks run a pretty penny. Sick chips though!

Edit: No intention to pick on @Changster, I have bought chips at market prices from all the buys, just not snap bought and not in volume, I'm just jealous!

I play with mine all the time
And even those pricey Jacks chips seem like a steal if comparing them to what most of the Horseshoe Cle/Cin 43mm chips still sell for.....

All that needs to be finished is the art! I’m still suuuuuper torn on label over or inlay replacement. I 100% like inlay replacement better but label over is so appealing because of the ease.
if this is your own custom set and design, i strongly recommend inlay removal for all of the obvious reasons haha. its your baby! make em yours!
