Thanks @Colquhoun ! They arrived safe and sound!

I feel USPS auto sorters typically reject chips in envelopes these days.
I sent quite a few business chips to different businesses across the US and got a few back "undeliverable" with the chip missing because it was pushed out of the side.

For anyone, I highly recommend NOT shipping chips in envelopes anymore.

My first ever game at another chipper's place was in Nov 2022, where Ethan graciously let me choose what to felt out of his obnoxiously large collection. I snap-called with Jack Detroit, as they were a favorite of mine (despite y'all RHC haters). They were pretty good to me to say the least. Roughly a month ago I got lucky in obtaining the core of the set of them, and through subsequent trades/acquisitions ended up with my preferred/optimal breakdown (with frac labels and other accessories on the way).

Thanks to all for the help! Feels like a suitable 5000th post:

I impulse bought a Metallic silver 1M and White 100k secondary. I'd grab more but money is a little tight and I am worried the market is about to get flooded but also I know I will regret that decision soon.

I would love to get my hands on one of the 500k oversized 8V primaries, that is one of my favorite chips of all time.

My knowledge is second hand and limited so I can't answer. My understanding is that a Rio employee "rescued" some chips and if you knew how to find him and slip him some cash you could walk away with some cool stuff. Based on the fact he is posting listings with 5-10 chips available of each denom, it seems like there may be more out there then I knew for sure.
Assume you scooped one already, but he has them up now.

And now the WSOP Pr0n I know you all have been waiting for all week...

The 2014 WSOP cards sealed in box!

I have been trying to get these for over a year. Been offering you Jabronis top dollar and then they randomly and unexpectedly show up at my door today without me knowing they were coming. I have never seen another set in someone's collection before.

And now the real stuff. My phone camera is fucked up, sorry. This is what I have received so far. I know some of you are sitting on some crazy stuff too so I will go first.

I can vouch for "that" guy, he is awesome. Super easy to work, will do bulk deals, and threw in some freebies for me. He actually sent me the 2014 cards (without knowing what they were) as a thanks for buying gift along with my order. It was a sealed box, and when I opened it I discovered it was the most hilariously insane coincidence I have ever received. Instead of holding the chips hostage to the highest bidder like we have seen countless times in this hobby, he is actually being reasonable despite what he has.

The whole thing is genuinely surreal. I went from assuming I would never have anything above a 5K orange in my collection that I would pay way too much for in the future to owning some of the rarest chips in the history of the RIO WSOP years.

The coolest ones to me are the 5K and 25K quarterpies. These were alternate chips introduced to be used at the Player's Championship.

I took a stab at this when it popped up on eBay.

The seller said they got it from Doyle during the WSOP. Not much more information beyond that.

I checked it against other autographs of his and with a little bit of knowledge from my Dad when he did handwriting analysis, it's pretty likely to be legit.

The hand is more sure than some later autographs, and the era the chip was from also jives with that as well. The 'backwards' swoop over the top of the "D", coming back across the top and into the loop of the letter is very much like others from Doyle, as is the pen-lift between the y and the l.

I remember reading that Doyle had stopped autographing chips as they were too small to do so adequately on, which makes sense in his latter years which also makes this make more sense as an earlier autograph.

I never had a chance to meet him nor get an autograph for the same reasons. This is about as close to legend as I'll be able to get. Clearly, one degree of separation!
