I've been trying to figure out what type of collection I want to build (in addition to actual chips to play in a home game) and I knew that I collecting individual chips wouldn't do it to for me. The answer has just appeared to me that I should collect shuffle stacks. 10 singles from a bunch of casinos that I can rotate out regularly to shuffle when I'm doing nothing.

This is prompting me to ask everyone what kind of collection do you have (if any)?

Shuffle stacks is kind of the direction I’ve leaned in, tough to get some of the ones I want but they will come eventually. I should have kept some I’ve sold in the past, but have kept some from sets I’ve sold. Sample sets look great, but I’d rather have something to play with.

I’m always shuffling chips while on the computer or watching hockey, it’s a great way to avoid sellers remorse. Someday I’ll probably have carpal tunnel from all the shuffling lol.

Yeah doing shuffle stacks a lot more now 12-16 generally. Really allows you to appreciate the chips beyond just visually with a single.

Wait. So people collect 10-12 of the same chip, just for shuffling? Bunch of damn scrub donkeys I'll tell ya.

I do this. If a sample set only has 7 or so chips, I'll buy two sample sets so I have a shuffle quantity.
