Has anyone actually had to deal with this yet? Working on a small group by from SunFly. The quantity/amount would've been under the old $800 limit, but that seems to be out the window now.

So has anyone dealt with us yet and how hard have you been jacked up?

Uh oh, the mere mention of the tariffs will summon he-who-says-we-shouldn't-discuss-them!

Yup that got moved to the forbidden section.

I'm dealing with it on a side project (board game, kickstarter'd) - we're warehousing in China while we wait for more information as the tariff bill would put the costs well above what we raised.

Talk of tariffs inevitably enrages someone's political belief. A few get so bent out of shape that they complain to the moderators. Shortly after that, the thread gets moved to the political section and become unfindable to most people.

This thread will end up there too, just give it a few weeks.

And this is all before we get to the thread crappers. The troll drops by, makes a number of inflamitory posts which solicits a sharp response which then opens the door for moderator complaints. Perhaps even by the original troll. And Poof! For some reason the trolls get rewarded all too often.

As for @MeridianFC 's original question - I know several people who have been hit by new tariffs in the last few days. But my personal experience with small packages from China is they arrived without problems. Two this week. The effective date was May 2nd for the small package tariff. So I likely just missed the cut off. Not very likely to go so well by next week.

That makes sense. I have done everything I can on PCF to avoid that particular forum.

I would rather people just not say anything here in that case. If anyone wants to DM me with specifics about percentages or mechanics, I would appreciate it but otherwise it's just not worth it.
