Well, this came about quite unexpectedly!!! Less than a week after finalizing a custom table build with Bill from PPL Poker and sending him half down payment, my wife sent me a local Facebook ad from a couple who are moving and needing to sell thier poker table. Usually the local tables she sends me are cheaply built tables i have zero interest in. However after looking i knew this was different. They had a Nighthawk from BBO with upgraded felt and a table cover that is worth around $2,400. It also included 6 (ugly) chairs that were of decent quality with adjustable height. The table is basically brand new. He said he thought he played on it three times. Long story short, yesterday I went home with an unplanned table and chairs for $1600. It was too good of a deal to pass up. After i get the chairs re-upholstered it's going to be a nice setup.

I should have the custom table by late summer and look forward to sharing the new poker room when finished.

Just scooped this little 8 seater oval as a 2nd table on FB for $80 including a case of dice chips that I am flipping for $20. Looks like it goes for $170ish on Amazon new. Not bad for $60?

The drink holders are too shallow to prevent spills, and it will probably be flimsy, but if your group is on the border between 1 table and 2 tables, it would make a fantastic overflow table.

You’re spot on - that’s why I got it and it’s easy to store away while fitting in to my relatively small basement as a 2nd table. At least it has padded arm rests!

Nothing crazy occurred! We had trouble seeing the color of the felt during play. So we went with the blue and added the lights.

That is some varnish that touched the plastic covering the new felt. Once I peel the plastic off, that stain will not be there. The table was stained a rich brown color and the plastic thankfully caught any varnish that didn’t make it onto the wood. I left the plastic on until I got a table cover for it. It is now properly covered.
