Hello everyone,

First let me start of by saying thank you to everyone who as helped me out over the last couple of week. I have been flip flopping over what I want to do and I think I have come to the end as I want to commit to the boardwalk group buy.

So, we run a 12 player monthly game 90% of the time, but I would like the option to jump to a 20 player game in the future. I figured planning for a T20,000 12 player game would allow me to drip down to a T10,000 if we want to bump up the players.

I have attached the structure that I have planned, please feel free to poke holes in it.

I plan to buy 800 - 1000 chips, whatever works best for what I have planned.

I would also like to make up a few custom plaques for shits and giggles.

What do you all suggest for doms and starting stacks? I would like to see people start with 40 to 50 chips for the 12 player game.

Thanks everyone, as always. This community rocks!

This would better handle a 20 player game if and when we move up to that way.

Welcome to PCF!

You're pretty close, but you can probably cut down the T500s. 12/12/3/7 is a pretty standard T10k starting stack, and you can go with 12/12/3/7/2 or 12/12/3/11/1 if you want to play deeper . With tournament sets, you build player capacity with the lower denoms and depth (and rebuys) with the higher denoms. You can't easily just play a smaller stack when you increase the number of players. Something like 200/200/100/200/100/0 should work pretty well for you. The T20k isn't going to come in handy, for so few players. Just drop it entirely.

My thinking on the 20k was a 1 chip rebuy situation, but probably not the best idea.

Thanks for the advice

4 chips isn't much worse to handle, and it lets you make change with a few different players if you need to. It wouldn't be a terrible plaque denomination though. 10 or 20 would be enough, I'd think.

Looks pretty good. You could probably drop to 175 on the T100s too. Starting stacks are going to be 12/12/... or 8/8/... depending if you're stretching the set. You don't want to color up with the new smallest denom anyway, so might keep those denoms even. Some T20k would be a better use.

With this breakdown I can run a 12 player 12,12,5,11,1 and have 31 rebuys or addon with the 5ks. And I can run 20 player 8,8,4,7,2 with up to 41 rebuys with the 20/5ks.

So I'm thinking about this for the schedule. Trying to figure out Antes or not. I could add the 25 / 50 but figured its not needed with the T20,000 starting stack
