Hi All,
I have a 4-table tournament tonight and I've changed my blind schedule a little to account for more people. I'd like to try and have a 5-5.5 hour game.

T-100
20-minute blinds
25K starting stacks
Re-buy's through the first 4 rounds

Please let me know your thoughts and suggestions.

Level 12, if you make that (SB)10,000 - (BB)15,000 you can chip up all your 1ks during break since they won’t be in play for the remainder of the tournament

I would also do more starting chips. By level 7 people have have 10 or so big blinds. Add a 500-1000 level.

Not bad at all but I think I’d add 1-2 extra levels in there somewhere and cut one break out. 4 breaks in 5 -5:30 hours seems like too many.
Maybe add a 1200-2500 level 8 and have the color up break between level 9-10. Then last break after level 13.
I don’t think it will last past 15/30k. Assuming 36 starting players and 8 rebuys that’s 1.1mil in play. By the time it’s 3-4 players left they will be all in or fold with less than 10BB’s.

Thanks all for the input. Overall it worked great. We had 28 players and 6 Re-buys. It lasted almost exactly 5.5 hours. We ended up skipping the last break and 15/30k was the last blind level. I did have professional dealers so that def helped move it along. I think I’d tweak a few things though, like some of you had suggested.

Nice! 15/30k, I knew it, lol.
Did they play it all the way out or chop? What would you change? What chips did you use? Tell us Moar!!! Write it now so you don’t forget.

I’m really mad because I think this was my best run game so far and I was so engaged I didn’t take any pictures. I do them up pretty nice with dealers, catered food, beer, even a hostess to serve food/drinks. I don’t take a rake, I just enjoy doing it. I had a PCF member whom I met on the forum join us. I used my custom Cards Mold chips.

I would add a 500/1000 before the first break and extend Re-buys to the fifth round. Id move the 7,000/14,000 until before the break there for an easier color-up. I’d remove the last break entirely. Maybe a few other little things.

As far as the ending goes it was pretty epic. There were 4 of us left, me being one of them. Everyone was being pretty tight as the prize from fourth to third almost doubles. I get dealt a pair of pocket 3’s. Everyone but one person calls. The flop is Q,3,6 - i lead with a small bet and the next player goes all in. The third player in the hand pushes all in also. I’m chip leader so I call. One player had pocket aces. The other had top pair with Queens. My set of 3’s held strong. So the field went from 4 to 2 and I had about 90% of the chips. The remaining player had no chance. It took him the next 2 hands to go in and bust.

It’s always a little awkward to win your own tournament but what ya gonna do??
