I've hosted several successful tournaments over the past few months, thanks in large part to the great advice on this forum and the Chris M. YouTube videos. We are up to 3 tables which is great but definitely a lot of logistics and planning, not always super relaxing as host.

In the off weeks, I'd like to set up some smaller cash games, ultra low stakes, 5c/10c, $10-$20 buy in. The idea will be to keep it small, one table, 6 - 8 players max. Fun and relaxing is the goal.

I run the cheapish Monaco Casino chips from Discount Poker in my tournaments, mainly so I can easily add to my chip stocks as the need grows, without breaking the bank. Currently at 800 chips, but I can see that growing to 1000 in the near future. For the price, I really love these chips, great look and decent quality to my untrained eye. All the players are thoroughly impressed having only played dice chips in years gone by.

For my cash games, I would like something a little nicer, I figure I can get away with around 400 chips. I have samples of the Majestics and Pharaohs from Apache and I like them both but I just really love the look of the Majestics. Unfortunately, they are out of stock on the 5c and 25c chips so I may be forced to just go with the Pharaohs. I am trying to come up with a workaround, I see they have blank chips in stock, maybe I could use those for the lower denominations. Also considering substituting some of my tournament chips while I wait for the Majestics to be available.

Anyway, no real question here, appreciate all the wisdom on this board, any thoughts on my chip dilemma are most welcome!

Those of us who love our ceramics love them because they are made to order, and adding to them is very easy.

One option are the Cards Mold ceramic chips if you take part in a Group Buy to help bring down the costs of chips and alleviate shipping costs instead of order a set for solely yourself. They stack well, durable, and at a great price (if enough quantities are ordered from enough people). You can order a customized set to your liking or used the designs used in specific Group Buys. You can get 5c chips this way. One con though is that it will take months for it to come from overseas, plus prices may have increased all around so it depends.

Another option you can do is play .25/.25 blinds with $10-$25 buy-in where 0.25 is the common lowest denomination, but it wouldn't be a deepstacked game for $25 (100BB) like with your current $20 buy-in .05/.10 game (200BB).

Thanks everyone. As a stopgap, I went ahead and ordered a rack of $5 chips of the Monaco Casinos. For now, I can play 5/25/100/500 from my tournament set.

Looking closer at the samples of the Majestics and Pharaohs, the lower cash game denoms are not the greatest colors. Still good candidates when I am ready to upgrade my tourney set.

So, it seems custom is the way to go. I have a sample set of DDLMs from BrPro which are great, but I do really like the old school casino look. I see they have a Tropic Oasis chip which might fit the bill. Poking around the custom forum, I came across @lane_robert_s Rain design. These are perfect! Kind of makes me want to just totally rip off this design. Might be out of my budget right now.

The Aria's 43mm Group Buy also looks very interesting. The low denom colors are pretty nice. Not sure about the 43mm, will have to think on that.
