Any updates on this?
I don't see them for sale on eBay so either I suck at searching or complaints worked and he got shut down there.
Or maybe Nintendo found out and sent Bowser to straighten him out.

Can’t find it on eBay but he still has them on his YouTube and selling on his Facebook page. $6,000 for a set of 500. Not sure if that is $USD OR $MXN.

This issue of Intellectual Property, copyright, etc... comes up every so often , going back to the Chiptalk days. When you copy someone else's design, without their permission, you are in the wrong and can be sued. Even if you are using just a small part of a design, and change the rest of something, and then call it your own, it's still not your design.

Look at all the dealer buttons made by most people, using graphics, images from the original Casino graphics and images. We all want that because it ties in to your Casino sets. And people that put them together call it their design. We all look the other way, including me, because that is what we want. And it's not a major profit of any kind, which helps to stay off the radar of the people that might own the Intellectual Property. I stole an image to make my custom set.

I'm just saying the majority of artwork, (but not all), has something taken from someone else.

As a new chipper I'd like to chip in (ha!)

Firstly, you guys seem to take your community quite seriously (hence the comradely outrage at someone ripping off a chipper's work.) That's really nice to see in an age where everything has seemingly become about capitalism.

However, I don't think it's fair to hold Tina to that standard. In a cultural sense, community guidelines and values apply so everyone contributes to the community. In a game-theoretical sense, its to prevent the tragedy of the commons (if everyone looked out for themselves, no one would trust their peers and the community would not share any bond.) However, Tina contributes (IMO) to the community to great degree even though they do so only out of their own self interest -- while it is in the community's collective interest to police the everyday chipper, it is not in the community's collective interest to police Tina.

(I say this as a chipper that will likely never be able to afford anything more expensive than Tinas -- blacklisting Tina on moral grounds, IMO, harms far more than it hurts unless you happen to have another vendor lined up. It is important, when discussing morals and ethics, to go back a bit further and recall the reason societies develop those senses of morals and ethics.) It seems like Tina abides by most requests made by PCF in an attempt to maintain good relations; in return, we should accept their propensity to perhaps not do their due diligence in an attempt to maintain good relations.
