(Subjective) discussion and vote for favourite individual casino denomination - nomination thread (1 Viewer)

I know we have a HoF thread and a few other voting threads, but I haven’t seen one in a while.

I was thinking it might be fun to do a voting thread for the best casino chips of all time by denom, which would be lined up at the end as an entire set.

I guess this would be similar to the thread that jbutler, bergs et al did over on the other site before it died, but we can open it up for everyone to join in.

Chips could be $0.25, $1, $5, $25, $100, $500, $1000.

If this gains traction, it might be fun to expand it out and do a similar thing, but with tourney chips, custom chips, or even broken down into different manufacturers as well.

What do people think? I think we need some more interactive threads going. Plus who doesn’t love to argue/debate about what are the greatest chips ever.

But we all know the aria high roller set is the greatest. There aren’t really a lot of high roller chips about anyway, so those denoms will lead to a fairly predictable outcome.

Though to be fair who cares how many we vote on.

Let’s just add $5000, $25,000 and $100,000

Ok so I think it would be cool to include the $2 and the snapper and the higher denoms, but logistically that’s going to be a nightmare to do in one go. Let’s run some nominations and votes for the standard denoms, then afterwards work our way down through $2, snappers and everything over $5k.

Thoughts on a cap for voting on each denom? 10-12?

Edit. I did find the old ccm threads, but I think those were a whole set v set type vote.

Is there a "greatest custom denoms" thread anywhere? that would be interesting too...
