In stud games, can a player arrange their up cards in an order different than they received them?

Weird question and I don't know why anyone would want to other than to angle but a question that has been posed at our mixed game.

I just checked my Robert's Rules for home games and they seem silent on the matter. It's entirely possible that I missed something too.

Absolutely not. It's a breach of etiquette and wouldn't be allowed in casinos. It's the players responsiblity to put them and keep them in order.

I'm not sure there is an official rule on this.... BUT, players generally don't do it and give anyone that does it a very hard time. It is very important to know which order people received their cards in. So I would never allow people to rearrange them.
