Hello,
I'm wanting to use all my chips in my new tourney set. T-5 thru T1,000.

Starting stacks of 6,000 10 person for a 3-4 hour tournament.

Looking for ideas on the structure using such a large spread of chip values.

any help is appreciated.

Pat

15 minute levels...

5 10
10 20
15 30
25 50
Break, race off T5s
50 100
75 150
100 200
125 250
150 300
Break, race off T25s
200 400
300 600
400 800
500 1000
600 1200
700 1500
1000 2000
1500 3000 -Expected end of tournament.

This is basically the structure I use for teaching new players. Since new players tend to limp into every hand, the relatively tiny blind levels early on allows them to learn the game without limping off a spirit-breaking chunk of their stack. Even poor players will survive past the first hour.

I'm sure @BGinGA can give you a better structure if your players are all experienced.

10 players x T6000 starting stacks (300bb)

lvl sb bb
L1 10 20
L2 15 30
L3 20 40
L4 30 60
L5 40 80
remove T5 chips
L6 50 100
L7 75 150
L8 100 200
L9 150 300
remove T25 chips
L10 200 400
L11 300 600
L12 400 800
L13 600 1200
L14 800 1600
remove T100 chips
L15 1000 2000
L16 1500 3000 ***
L17 2000 4000
L18 3000 6000
L19 4000 8000

Using 15-minute levels, the event will typically end no later than L16, or 4 hour plus breaks. Alternately, you could start at L3 (150bb) and cut 30 minutes off the total time.

Starting stacks:
10 x T5
10 x T25
7 x T100
4 x T500
3 x T1000
---------------
34 chips = T6000

Use T1000 chips to color-up the T5, T25, and T100 chips (10 required).

Total set requirements:
100 x T5
100 x T25
70 x T100
40 x T500
40 x T1000
---------------
350 chips
