Seeking some advice/guidance for a tournament set from what will be my first ever ChipRoom sale (hopefully my order gets through the rush!)

Tournament details

Tables: 1
Players: 10 (max)
Rebuys: 10 (max)
Add ons: No
Antes: No
Duration: Usually aim for 4-5 hours

Set limitations

Number of chips: 400 (max)
Secondary chips only so no $5 chip
Rebuys are full starting stack
$1000 and $5000 in play early but can't be more than 60 chips total

Currently thinking T5000 starting stack with 12/12/5/1 - remaining $500's for colour up of $25 and $100 - $5000 for rebuys

$25 x 120
$100 x 120
$500 x 80
$1000 x 10
$5000 x 10

Total 340 (I can use the remaining 60 chips to get some spares of each denom and have some space in racks for future bounty chips)

The reason I went with T5000 vs T2000/2500/3000/4000 is that I wanted at least some of the oversized $1000 and $5000 in play fairly early on.

Open to suggestions from everyone but I know @BGinGA specifically has been a great help in threads I have posted and read in the past!

If ordering 340 total chips, you are restricted to these maximum numbers per denomination:

85 x $25
51 x $100
34 x $500
17 x $1000
17 x $5000
and 136 x others
---------------
340 chips

The way the sale is structured, one cannot buy only secondary chips.

Oops my bad forgot to write that I am ordering enough 1's for a future cash set that maximums aren't going to be a problem.

12-12-5-6 for T10,000. Works beautifully.

Not sure this answers your specific question, but here's about the best breakdown I've come up with for a 10-player 15K tourney set, given the ordering restrictions:

starting stacks:
12 x T25
7 x T100
4 x T500
2 x T1000
2 x T5000
------------
27 chips = T15000

chip set:
125 x T25
75 x T100
50 x T500
25 x T1000
25 x T5000
200 x others ($1 or $5)
------------
500 chips, 300 in tourney set

Plenty of extras to color-up the lower denominations, and 200 x T5 could actually be easily used with the tourney set if desired.

12 X $25
12 X $100
5 X $500
6 X $1000

35 chips total X 10 players = 350 chips

20 X $5000 for rebuys

Thats 370 chips and you can use your 30 spares to complete full 20 barrels.

12-12-5-6 for T10,000. Works beautifully.
Those ratios are unavailable for this set, unless you plan on buying several thousand chips.
12 X $25
12 X $100
5 X $500
6 X $1000

35 chips total X 10 players = 350 chips

20 X $5000 for rebuys

Thats 370 chips and you can use your 30 spares to complete full 20 barrels.

What we have here is a failure to communicate. This is not an option unless OP wants to literally buy thousands of extra chips due to the breakdown restrictions of a ChipRoom sale.

Plus, OP clearly states:

$1000 and $5000 in play early but can't be more than 60 chips total

Loving this breakdown, likely what I will order :) Thanks BG!

What would be a good blind structure for this T15k Stack for a single table lasting ~3-4 hours?

With 10 players and 15-minute levels, this T15K deep-stack structure (300BB) will last around 4 hours plus breaks. You can also start at L3 (50/100 blinds, 150BB) and cut 30 minutes off the total time.

lvl sb bb
L1 25 50
L2 25 75
L3 50 100
L4 75 150
L5 100 200
L6 150 300
remove T25 chips
L7 200 400
L8 300 600
L9 400 800
L10 600 1200
L11 800 1600
L12 1200 2400
remove T100 chips
L13 1500 3000
L14 2000 4000
L15 3000 6000
L16 4000 8000 *** est EOT
L17 6000 12000
L18 8000 16000
L19 10000 20000
L20 15000 30000

BGinga

very nice polivalent breakdown although if you have your chips in a chip rack I would maybe do it in multiple of 20 and make it a 600 chips to have a nice cash game sets

Where was this sale originally posted? Where the threads removed? I can't seem to find anything

We are all "patiently" waiting for news :)

But until it is officially announced it ceased to exist for a reason, we best leave it be

Hurray the sale is back on! Had to find this thread for the tournament breakdown...

BG, what if I wanted 2 tables? Do I just double everything?

I listened to BG and got the chips recommended.. can't wait to host a game!

Thought I'd post a little pr0n ;)

@BGinGA what would change if the set didn't have any 5k denoms? It would be 5k starting stacks, and nothing much else would change?

Thanks!
Tyler

I can only supply that answer after you sell that barrel of $5000 chips to me. :sneaky:

Great set! And what I woulda gotten if I had seen this thread before the sale. Basically just missed out on the 1k and 5k due to budget, which I'm regretting of course. But these look great and hope you have fun!
