i found the forum the other on a limb after googling poker chips because I didn’t want a amazon set of chips and I got to tell ya I’m overwhelmed and have a huge headache. I never dreamed there is so much out there and how much some of these chips sell for. I have been spending hours scouring over these pages reading and trying to understand all this. When the dust settles I just want a set of casino grade chips for cash and a set for tourneys This site is amazing and horrifying at the same time.

The chips and money values that fly around here can be a bit overwhelming at first, but with some time it will all settle and you may eventually feel right at home. Also, depending on the vendor sales/classifieds and help of members, beautiful chips are not an unforeseen goal. Take your time, and dont feel rushed into any decisions. Most of all, have fun!!!

Welcome to the forum. Yes, it's still a bit hard to believe that a world build from poker chips exists, but here it is. I'm two months a member and only have two complete poker chips sets, so probably par for the course! Yikes.

She also allows me to host poker every week, and is fully supportive of my new 1800 sq ft poker room and bar being finished. SHE ROCKS!! My bank account, and the neighbors' wives, hate me a bit though...LOL!!

Hello and welcome! I'm a beginner as well and my advice would be to give yourself at least 1-2 weeks to soak in as much as you can first! I'm here for less than a week and I couldn't fathom the amount of knowledge available when I just started. Just make sure you don't jump too quickly because it can be very tempting Asking experienced chippers about the market rate and good alternatives would be helpful as well.
