Just curious about what others are using as shuffling stacks, as well as where you acquired them.

Take them from the casino, or buy them from other members.
There are a ton floating around, but quite a few stacks and barrels here that come to mind:

Awesome thanks for some insight

I prefer to collect barrels, but will do a shuffle stack of 10 if need be. I get most of my barrels on here! Just keep an eye out for sales.

The main shuffle stacks I use are specifically spares from four different custom sets from ASM/CPC. They're ones that are a bit off (wonky spots or offset inlays) where I'm not thrilled to have them as part of the set that sees play. A new-ish stack that I've been shuffling are "reject" Terrible's St. Joe's $25 where I bought two barrels when I only needed one, but knew I'd want/need to condition sort for the ones I wanted as playables in what I was building.

Do you prefer casino or custom chips, and any thoughts on clay vs ceramic for shuffling only. Also i love the variety of colors and denoms youve collected

I prefer clay. Ceramic chips are too smooth and not fun to shuffle imo. I also have some casino grade plastic chips. I have a lot of Paulson barrels and customs. I’m trying to get a barrel of each CPC/ASM molds. I also have some vintage barrels like the wave mold, T mold, and L mold. I like feeling the different in chips. Both the weight and the texture as I shuffle. Right now, my barrel of NO T100 fat hats are my favorite to shuffle.

Get well used leaded chips for a better "feel" while shuffling. You should get different chips to see what you like. different materials feel and sound different.
