Damage Report 4.5 hours in:
57.5k, I am still alive. It was touch and go for a hot hour back there, down to 10BBs had to jam over and over. Stacked V with K3, with Q3K flop, his AK no good. Flopped nut straight that got me above board.

Game is going steady with a good rhythm. Rebuys are over, now the real tourney begins.

505/846 players remain.

This was a thrilling one. 47 person bounty tourney - hence the bunnies - at a local lodge. Great players (and great people). $100 buy-in with a $60 rebuy and $60 add-on.

I was card dead the early stages and went broke super early on. Rebought (in for the whole $220) and was running horrible for 2 more hours.

With 10BB right before the dinner break, I changed tables. And variance just hit. Half an hour later I spun my stack to 80bb and two knockouts.

This pic is at the final table. 6 knockouts by this point... and I went on to (somehow) win the entire thing. 11 knockouts by the end, and the biggest payday of my amateur career.

Honestly, it was wild. I don't think I've ever been that card dead for nearly 4 hours (tourney was 8 hours total). I thought I was fried going into dinner. But then things just turned around. Still ups and downs: went from 12K to 100K to 50K to 75K and final tabled at 170K. But was never mission critical again.

Definitely a lesson in "You're not out until you're out."
