Chipping up in New Orleans
2018-01-31 14.06.47.jpg

In for $200, out for $394

Harrah New Orleans $5 is one of my favorites- every time I've been they are always very worn, but they have to be minty sometime, right? One day...

I just played there last year...food was amazing!!!

Back in the casino after a self-imposed month long break. The bad beats were getting too annoying. In for $200
Bruce buffer is here for ufc221 and playing the 5/5 table next to me. I’ve put my name on the list, hopefully I can move to his table.

And just to finish the night, I managed to get moved to 5/5, and play Bruce Buffer. What an awesome dude he is, super friendly and has heaps of good stories.

Won a small pot from him in his final hand, which was nice. $450 profit. Good way to get back in again.

Not my stack..... but this hand was crazy from New Orleans last week. I'm at a 1/3 NL table. These numbers are not going to be quite right, because the action was quite fast, so I'm going by memory. Young buck a few to my right raises to $25, guy next to him re-raises to $75, guy next to me is away, I fold, another young buck to my left re-raises to $200, folds around table to first guy who thinks and re-raises, second guy calls for his stack, guy to my left re-raises again putting first guy all in. Now we have a small pause as first guy thinks.... then calls, stating he thinks he is behind.

All in guy reveals pocket Kings.
Guy to my left reveals pocket Aces.
Young buck who started the raising almost face-palms as he turns over AKs. His only hope is a flush.

The flop, turn, and river are basically junk.

Guy to my left racks in a pot of about $1300 and spends several minutes trying to get them reasonably straight.

What a joy to see this when I look left (and, yes, I did ask if I could take a picture of his stack).

Amazingly, this guy did not chip bully anyone, even me. I doubled up through him with my quads, but the betting was "normal" for the hole cards and the cards on the table.

Those 100 look lovely and that mold is charming. I hope that casino goes broke ;)
Nah, most of the chips are grimey and worn BCCs with the House “8” mold. The oversized $100s are cool and the Paulson $5 RHC anniversary chips are sweet, but the rest of the rack sucks.

Except the oversized pink $1k haha.

The last few weeks has been huge - went on a nasty downswing so making that back + a bunch is a good feeling KK has actuslly held up instead of seeing an Ace on the flop the last 79/80 times

$2/5 games? Definitely big stacks for the home games on here. I enjoy playing $1/2 and $2/5 at home games, though they can be less friendly with the amount of money changing hands from people you know and like, I feel less bad stacking somebody for $600 at the casino haha.
