Kinda bullshit, random chip ups of 50/100/200 at the end of rounds lol, only started with 200. Been allin 3 times trying to go home, hasnt worked yet.
Alright, finally home. Wow, things have changed; havent been to a free bar game since I turned 21. Not doing it for me, just wanted to be home with the wife and pup. Actively felt bored for the first time while playing poker, damn, weird feeling. People were nice enough but just felt restless.

Just talking here cause Im curious whether or not this is an isolated feeling? I guess back at 19 or 20 I didnt have anywhere else to play and not much bankroll so I loved playing these games. Now I either play for a bunch at the casino or host my own tiny games, playing for bartabs falls away.

It’s not really poker when you are playing 5 rounds with average stacks of around m6 and there are still 8 players willing to fold to a min bet on a flop.

You're not alone.

During the poker boom I went to a number of bar games, but in short time I felt bored. With nothing to lose, poker isn't... well poker. Even $5 would drive a little interest, but $0, even with actual prizes, took the fun out of it unless I was close to the prizes/money.

I haven't gone back in many years. The appeal just isn't there - and I have to drive 4 hours each way if I want to play in a casino!

Think you're spot on. When I was shortstacked I wasnt thinking how can I competitively grind it back up, I was thinking whats a respectable way to shove and leave. Is this how normal people feel at all poker games!? Lol

I have a free poker app on my phone. It's even less fun. I simply haven't deleted it because sometimes I think I may still play it while sitting at the DMV.

Spent several days in Vegas for a work function. Decided to take an extra day to check some boxes. I haven’t played in Vegas in a very long time, so I hit up the Wynn, the Bellagio, and the Aria yesterday. Ended up +$437 for the day. Was as high as $700 but went card dead at Aria late night.

Bellagio had some hot stamp $1s and some almost mint $1s…so I snagged one of them.

The stack on the left side of the table was my stack at the end of the night yesterday. This photo was taken as the game wrapped and the players cashed out. We played 25c/50c and ended the night playing five-handed 50c/$1/$2. In for $100, out for $275 over about 8 hours. Had a blast!

.25/.50 cash game to break in the Stardust set. In for $50, topped off when I was hovering around $25 for another $30. Out for about $60 but had a great time and felt it was my responsibility as host to splash around more than I would normally. 5 hours, 2 bomb pots, a nit game, 14 hot dogs and some beers and sodas made for a great night of six handed poker.
