Shenanigans at the Barrel House (1 Viewer)

Thanks Matt (@Irish)for allowing me to play in your game. It was great meeting a bunch of fellow PCFers and playing in a home game which I have not done in years as my home games have dried up. I’ve been playing in casinos. Your setup and chip lineup are Great and the PCA chips were very nice. I look forward to the next game and want to see which chips are in play next. The wife didn’t seem to have a problem with a once a month game.

Despite getting crappy cards it was a Great Time. My new good luck Rooster Plaque was not so much good luck last night.

Thanks Again,
Mike
Them the cards. Our corner of the table didnt do well last night with @CantSpellPoker donking a whole buy in the first 20 minutes of the game and me busting out completely after an hour and a half or so.

I was surprised to see how much higher this game played. The .25/.50 stakes played more like 1/2. Higher stakes, 10 players to the table, and a much higher skill level of everyone at the table than what I'm used to made me make some bad decisions and lose more dead money than I thought I would. It was definitely a different experience for me. Only thing I can do is adjust my strategy better for next time.

Basically, if you're reading this and are coming to the meet up in June, bring your wallet and perhaps your check book.

Looks like alot of fun Matt, looking forward to coming out this summer!

IIRC we had a little over $1100 on the table at the end of the night. That's definitely the most cash I've had on a table at my place, but we haven't played much cash with this group and the other group I play with is 25¢/25¢ and with $20 buy-ins, a "big" night we'll have $400 in play.

I am SUPER excited for the meetup, really looking forward to having all you folks over. We had 7 chippers playing last night, the other 3 guys were just shaking their heads and chuckling at all the chip talk, lol.

Or setup a Venmo account. I’ll become everyone’s personal ATM as long as everyone transfers money to me. no fees!

It works nicely if you forget cash. I bring only an X amount of cash to begin with because I don't want to go past losing more than I'm ok with losing. Already am starting to save up my bankroll for the next cash game  :ROFLMAO:

That's more my speed. My crew usually plays either .10/.20 or .25/.25 once in a blue moon. $20 buy ins with rebuys with quarter stakes is a nice friendly game that's fun. I've never had more than $250 or $300 on the table either.

I'm cool with playing higher stakes and I'm happy that I came out last night, especially to play against players that are better than me. It's how I'm going to get better. Could I donk $150 or $200 once in a while on a couple of buy ins? Yes, but I don't have the bankroll to play a game at those stakes on a weekly or even biweekly basis, especially if I continue to drop money on chips and daycare for my son :p

Not the ideal situation, but shenanigans have moved online for the time being....

Working on the chips....

What precautions are you taking? Curious. I'd like to host now that I have alleged immunity.

Single table only, 8 players max, masks required while inside and not eating/drinking, no open food (individual bags of chips, no hot dogs or dip :( ), covered cups and extra masks available, bottle of hand sanitizer for the dealer button and a bunch more around the room. Open window and a fan going as well as an exhaust fan to try and keep the air moving. And common sense, don't come of you don't feel well or have been exposed.

And bourbon, lots of bourbon. But that's mostly for me... :sneaky::LOL:

If you have some disposable gloves, and remove the bungs from the bag, I think you could have hotdogs!

All the other stuff sounds pretty good. Good luck!
English language question: WTF are the bungs ??? And how could they ever be related to hotdogs?
It's when my basically Latin English runs out of ideas.:)
