Royal Flush
I don't recall ever seeing one. Has anybody ever bought or made a home set of chips that came from an Iowa casino?
Dig these! I'm guessing you're from Iowa.I put some custom labels on Majestics to make a couple of sets for buddies:

Locker room! What can my points be redeemed for?Bonus points if you can say why we went with pink instead of red for the Hawkeye 5.

Let’s see—Wisconsin, Ohio State, Nebraska. Yup, it checks out.Because Hawkeyes are naturally afraid of the color red?
I only ask because I ended up with these:

and some of them would make a helluva nice set...
I'm looking at you Hard Rock Sioux City, Sioux City Sue, Steamboat, and most of the Dubuque casinos.
A guy liquidating his Iowa collection. There was one chip in there that I needed, but I had to buy all the rest. How’d you come across all those?

Someone had some plastic fracs (Bud Jones?) from Riverside for sale recently. I also recall seeing some Diamond Jo quarters for sale, but that's technically East Dubuque, IL. That's the casino my dad and brother go to regularly--I'm from Bellevue, just south of Dubuque.
Catfish Bend here in Burlington has a really pretty RHC set. I've thought about seeing if I can harvest some of their solid yellow fracs and $1's.
@Annorax, where in Iowa did you live?
I always thought it was in E. Dubuque. I was wrong. The Riverside fracs are RT Plastics. Diamond Jo in Dubuque went land-based and unless they moved, they're still on the Iowa side of the river.
My hoard has both chips as well. Greyhound Park was the yellow ceramic snapper first, then Mystique was the yellow ceramic 50c chip.@FDLmold I don't have that (moved away long before that rebrand) but I do have the original Chipco yellow frac from Dubuque Greyhound Park & Casino and a Mystique snapper. (or is it the other way around? haven't looked at those in a while)
Nope - holding on to em for now.@BSteck, any chance you wanna sell those Diamond Jo quarters?
I'd take any and all extra Paulsons off your hands.A guy liquidating his Iowa collection. There was one chip in there that I needed, but I had to buy all the rest.
Oh, I got Paulsons. Terribles too. Setting up a sale soon.I'd take any and all extra Paulsons off your hands.
