Set of chips from an Iowa casino ? (1 Viewer)

Someone had some plastic fracs (Bud Jones?) from Riverside for sale recently. I also recall seeing some Diamond Jo quarters for sale, but that's technically East Dubuque, IL. That's the casino my dad and brother go to regularly--I'm from Bellevue, just south of Dubuque.

Catfish Bend here in Burlington has a really pretty RHC set. I've thought about seeing if I can harvest some of their solid yellow fracs and $1's.

I put some custom labels on Majestics to make a couple of sets for buddies:

And I do have a rack + of these:

Yep... originally... and went to college at ISU so definitely lean towards the cardinal and gold.

I only ask because I ended up with these:

and some of them would make a helluva nice set...

I'm looking at you Hard Rock Sioux City, Sioux City Sue, Steamboat, and most of the Dubuque casinos.

Bonus points if you can say why we went with pink instead of red for the Hawkeye 5.

Well we have lost the last couple to you guys...... but I think that is going to be over for a while...... hopefully

I don't recall ever seeing one. Has anybody ever bought or made a home set of chips that came from an Iowa casino?

I have a barrel or so left from my two racks of Riverside fracs, but I wasn't ever able to build a playable Iowa-only set even while I lived there.

@FDLmold I don't have that (moved away long before that rebrand) but I do have the original Chipco yellow frac from Dubuque Greyhound Park & Casino and a Mystique snapper. (or is it the other way around? haven't looked at those in a while)

The Riverside fracs are RT Plastics. Diamond Jo in Dubuque went land-based and unless they moved, they're still on the Iowa side of the river.

I always thought it was in E. Dubuque. I was wrong.

My hoard has both chips as well. Greyhound Park was the yellow ceramic snapper first, then Mystique was the yellow ceramic 50c chip.

Since we are on the subject, what type of chip is this? Feels like straight plastic.

A guy liquidating his Iowa collection. There was one chip in there that I needed, but I had to buy all the rest.
I'd take any and all extra Paulsons off your hands. :)

If that is a sample Terrible's set from their old Iowa casino I'd be interested in it.
