Seller’s Remorse: Chips you regret selling (2 Viewers)

One of a kind chips, I knew I'd regret it but funds were tight, needed the cash to grow the business. I also play micro stakes with friends so it was perfect.

Haven’t seen that set before, super classy with the hotstamp nickels. Amazing $5 spots too.

Yeah it's an old set, I acquired it in a trade for a poker table years ago on chiptalk. The only bad thing is that it was nearly impossible to do an add-on.

I sold my PNY set because I didn’t like the inlay design at all, but I regret selling them because of the colors and definitely because of the sound and feeling.

This thread makes me sad. I don’t even have a picture of my CDIs...

I regret selling the PNY cash set. The ones were the best shuffling chip that I have ever owned. My other regret was the Samurai Palace cash set. I have since reacquired that :)

This thread is a terrible idea. :( :( :( :(
I could see your point for sure. The more experience and time into the hobby you got, the worst the idea of this thread becomes. Unless you are @ovo , who clearly doesn't sell chips and is immune to these ideas of "regret"

However, for us noobs who aspire to build nice collections, this thread is a stark reminder of what not to do once some chips are acquired. I personally love this thread. It's threads like these that have made me turn into a chip collector. Keep all that I can and just add to my collection. Not really selling, and no chance of anymore regret and heartache.

My only regrets are have to do with not getting enough 'value' out of some of the sets I've sold.

***Edit***
Oh crap... I forgot (PTSD?), I really regret selling my Maximillion set with the real $5's.

Had 250 $1 chips from the Clover Club prohibition era speakeasy, should have never sold them

I came really close to pulling the trigger on those when you sold them but didn't. Fantastic little micro set.

I don't regret selling any of my chips as I don't generally sell the chips I buy. I often get surprised how quickly people buy chips "they've always wanted" and then sell them right away or a few weeks later. Are peoples chipping bankrolls that shallow?

Now if the subject was regretting not buying a set or more of certain chip when I had a chance there would be many!

Chips I regret selling? Easy -- all of them.

The 360 Blue Chip quarters niggle me now and then when someone posts a pic, but I could never figure out a mixed set that those spots would fit in with.

I guess the only set that, if I had them back, I wouldn't sell again, is the Horseshoe Gardenas. The only weak spot in that set was having to choose between the $20s and the $25s to put into play...and the shaped inlay $25s always won. :cool
