I sent this to Gene weds while we were chatting about the chips, but the label isn't complete enough for me to commit 
Seems like we have a good thing going with the Apes which I like a lot, but figured I'd post what I have been messing around with. Obviously needs a fair amount of cleaning up and tweaking, but thought I would share.

That is actually what started this whole thing, @sir bluffs alot and I wanted a frac to go with the Palace Casino chips. Then it spiraled to a full set lol.

Love the design, but I think the font used for the numbers could be what's throwing it a smidge off...

Let me see what I have to work with.
The joy of fonts. They are why I have difficulty designing things.
I would look for something less complicated, thinner lines to not overtake the design behind it

Really like the design - especially as someone who spends 30-40 hours a week looking at construction plans, I can relate to True vs. Project.
Not sure if any of our Canadian brethren will approve of you using "True North" without their permission, though
Edit: Should also add that I agree with the above - the font is not my favorite.

Just re-read through this thread and the following is not an overstatement: I pretty much prefer every posted design concept/mock-up in this thread to all of the other group buy mock-ups I've seen in the last year or more. Not a slam on those other designs, just that most of them didn't do anything for me and I think there are just some great ideas coming out for this opportunity from ABC that are group-buy design worthy. Nice work, all!

I just got my sample set today and Gene isn't kidding. These are exactly the old school Chipco. Exact same as my Vineyard chips. They're awesome!

I want to do something original, but don’t have the design skills and I assume the window is too small to have it professionally done? Hoping someone else comes up with something awesome that they’re willing to share

I've played with a lot of ceramics and not of them compare to the quality of a Chipco. The BG maybe, but those aren't available.
Not sure if this was mentioned: Are these blanks in limited supply to where we won't be able to do add ons later? I'm pretty broke right now, so was thinking of doing a 2 table tournament set. It would be more appealing if I could add a 3rd table at a later time. Hmm....

I like where this is going and that is definitely a better font. Something about the denoms being off center is irking me, would it take too much away from the background to move them into the centre?

The 500 edge art doesn't match the face. I would suggest the "default" 500 face art to ensure the 500 and 5000 are not confused.

I put a white rectangle behind the numbers as it looks much cleaner than white lines around them.
