Hey everybody,

Like many who bought up the Palace Casino (WA) Chipco chips from the Chip Exchange’s Black Friday Sale, I feel like I need a frac to go with the cash set. In talking with Gene at ABC, he said that the Palace Casino logo is still in use at another casino in Washington, but that he would work with me to develop a similar looking chip design/theme that we could use for a $.25 frac (if interested, maybe other denoms as well).

So, if you are interested in adding on to your Palace Casino sets with real custom fracs printed on real Chipco blanks, let me know about how many you’d be interested in. Depending on numbers, the cost is anywhere from $.75 to $1 each plus shipping. (If interested in other denoms, add that too)

Here’s the first mock-up. Drawing on the light blue and pink in the hundo. I like the logo, but am changing it to “PACIFIC” Casino to better match the text and theme of the original.

By the way, the mock-up looks great! I may also be interested in a $500 denom too.

Light blue is very close to the $2 chip. Why not something different like yellow?

Good point Darson. Another color may be better for the 25c. But I’m not married to anything in particular. I have the 50c hot stamps too for this set and that is also yellow. I’ll take in a bit and upload.

Great to see this thread. I picked up a set of 1200 and really like them.
I'm in for 120-160 fracs depending on price.
And if they turn out nice, possibly 50 or so $500's, and/or 120 or 5c denoms.

I very much agree with the change to "Pacific". I think at a glance it should look like "Palace"
Maybe even "Palisades" instead?
Or is it possible to use "Palace" with "Card room" instead of "Casino"? Does it matter that its a denom that the casino doesn't actually have?
(Isn't there a thread about this? or was it on CT?)

Yellow is ok but I prefer the blue. I like the design as it is.

What it the number we'd need to get down to the lower price?

Hey guys. At this point, I am open to all suggestions. Ultimately, I am going to buy a couple hundred of these once we decide on the specs. We will definitely be around the $.90 mark if we can get over 1000 chips. The price drops even more with each thousand that we get. I will ask the vendor to mock up a five cent chip and a $500 chip as well. I will also ask about minimums for those orders and to see if all denominations can be combined for a lower price.

Let’s keep this thread going for a couple days to see how many people we have that are interested. I’m sure a whole bunch of us have bought these sets (chips are still available) and could use these fracs in these or other applications.

With that said, I do have to say that I really like the blue, but I am not married to it. As the $2 chip was not available when I purchased these, I have none of those. I certainly could see using that light blue as an accent color on a mostly carnation pink chip as well.

Please vote for your preferred choice of color for the $0.25.

From ABC's website:
<100 $1.59
100 - 499 $0.99
500 - 999 $0.84
1000 - 2999 $0.78
>3000 $0.69

Note sure if there's a markup for the Chipco blanks.

To give an idea of colours, this is what my pink and yellow Yak fracs look like:

For the Chipco blanks:
25-99 Chips - $1.74 each
100-499 Chips - 1.14 each
500-999 Chips - .99 each
1000-2999 Chips - .93 each
3000+ Chips - .84 each

I like those yaks, but would definitely think that an accent color would really make these pop.

Agreed with the accent color idea.

Do you know if these price breaks are just for a 25c denom chip or would totals for any 5c or other denoms also be included.
If the latter then maybe we have a chance to get to 3000?

Wow, those look like actual physical test print chips, not a virtual rendering!

If the order gets over 1000, I’m sure you can have several denominations. Perhaps a blue 25c, pink 5c and a yellow non denom for people who flit between 25 & 50c. Then people can just order what suits their game.
