Alright guys.....this thread has helped to get the ball rolling on my mixed leaded THC Set. I am wondering if you guys want to help me out with the lineup. Below is what I have so far. I have a really nice rack of Silver Stars in excellent condition, 2 racks of excellent condition Flamingo's (I know they are not leaded. I will most likely switch these out eventually), and on the way are 2 racks of Casablanca $5's which should be in really good condition.
Now the hunt begins:
I like the Aztar $25 but it is also common in mixed sets and it would be cool to find a different $25. I love the Claim Stake $25 but assume they are most likely going to be unobtanium? Any suggestions in this area would be helpful. It would nice to find a cool $25 but I also do not have the patience to wait a year.
I really like all these $100's but do not know really much about them. Again it would be nice to be able to actually find the chip.
Any comments or advice both negative and positive is greatly appreciated! If you guys have any suggestions on chips I would love to hear about it. I am looking at this set as a fun project that will most likely evolve and change over time.

You should be able to find the King 100s and MAYBE the AP 100s. The other 2 will be pretty difficult.
As for the $25, the Aztar is a great chip in person and used a lot for a reason. Claim Stake near impossible as well as those King 25s. What quantity do you need for the 25 spot?

I would really only need 1 rack of $25's and most likely only a barrel of $100's. I am keeping this set in the 600 chip range.
the other issue i'm finding is, if you find 100s and 500s, they'll be in excellent condition, but as you go down especially into 5s and 1s, the quality really drops off. would be pretty hard to find multiple racks of leaded inlaid 5s in good condition.
I can see that being an issue. My plan is to try and get this together and then stay on the hunt replacing or changing chips as they become available.
Thanks for the info! I really really like the AP $100 and feel like it would be a great look in the set. I do not know much about spots but for some reason I feel like the Aztar $25 spots will clash with the Casa $5 and something like the AP $100. Am I wrong on that?

Copa 5 ($.25) - $1/chip
CI CO 500 ($.50) - $2.25/chip
Sam’s Town $1 ($1) - $2.50/chip
Fantasy Paulson ($5) - $3/chip
PBCL $25 ($25) - $1.75/chip
Post Covid I think it’s safe to say I would have to pay more if I was buying those chips today

Trying looking in the BOH (barrel of hundos) thread to see what is available in that quantity, and then further narrow it by those that are leaded and meet your design and aesthetic requirements.

You might also check out what’s available at Spinettis. They’re not much good for racks these days, and their singles prices are high retail, but it might be a way to score a barrel of hundreds
I think your lineup would really benefit from a green 25. Will add nice balance and color to the set as a whole
I agree. I happened upon 80 Beavers so I grabbed them.
The $25 is weak IMHO. Make it green, or a yellow or purple 20 or 25

I’m not a fan of the 25 either. I’d go with something like the primary PCA $25.
That is my #1 choice at the moment. Just not sure if I will ever get the chance to grab any.

These are cool! I have not run across those in my research. I have $$$$ to spend. I think it's just a matter of a new guy like myself getting the opportunities to find some of this stuff.

Ponderosa is definitely a goat 25 IMO. I've never seen a rack, never even seen a barrel. A great alternative is the secondary Aztar 25. It's a nice bright green chip.
