Well, I had to come on here and report about my visit to a friend who had offered to show me his collection of chips...

I was finally able to take him up on his gracious and generous offer.

WOW!!!!

I was able to touch and feel many MANY chips. Besides the immense collection of mint condition Paulson's of varying types...there was an abundance of CPC chips to try and feel. I felt some real ceramics...China clays(Pharoahs) and some others not worthy of mention from my perspective.

CPC I felt gave the best overall feel for me when given my real actual budget and for wanting BRAND NEW chips. I know mint condition Paulson's are the best...I felt it...but I need to consider spending $4000 or more may be a problem for me at the present time.

My good friend allowed me to take a barrel of CPC CSQ Throne chips. What a wicked guy right!

I'm really digging on CPC chips as they are in an 'affordable for me' price range for "NEW" chips.

I've added a couple photos to highlight what I got to see.

Please enjoy...and the main idea of this post is to reiterate how important it really is to get samples. Just so much fun first of all, and learning about what you like and won't like.

My fave chips from this amazing collection were the MINT condition full Tourney set of Paulson's Pharoah's. Just amazing!!! Close second place was the Paulson's PCA set in mint condition. 3rd place goes to the CPC Throne chip. I love it. Took some home...

If I thought I was thinking about getting into this chipper hobby...I'm all in now!

Did you see any good tables in the works?

Its funny, on my last visit, I did actually see some of his wonderful workings in action...

However, with today's visit being all about chips, I didn't actually take a look in the shop area. Nothing to leak out today...;)

Thanks to you especially for pointing me in the direction of sampling and taking extra time to figure out what suits me. It was sound advice sir.
