I bought this back in 2008 and was wondering if anyone out there has any more info about it. I have not seen one come up since and can't even find pictures of this chip anywhere. was supposedly a wrap gift to select cast and crew of the movie. Would love to know if this is true and what anyone would think it would be worth. I bought the $100 chip and the $500.

These particular chips were specially made up with the word rounders with 5 cards on top, (an ace,king,queen,jack and ten of spades), with New York City on the bottom and this one, in the denomination of $500 and one in the denomination of $100 . Presented to select cast and crew members after the end of production on the movie Rounders, the special poker chips came inside an engraved pewter tin with the word Rounders on the top. Without any confirmation or cert of authenticity it’s basically just a chip anyone could have made. I would have thought if it was a gift from the production they would have trademarked it.

I’d say worth about $3-5

The mold looks right, though. Only @David Spragg would know for sure as there would have been production records when the original prop chips were made.

As allforcharity said David would know the most detail about them. He had some of these for sale a while back. I assume no more of these were made after the initial run like the KGB and Chesterfield movie props, but not sure on that. Looking at chips like this is a constant reminder how much I miss the Roman mold.

It was a promotional chip made for the movie. I actually bought the frame from David that was for sale in the thread above. He said it was made for Miramax then gave it back to ASM at some point. I have not seen many of the promo chips for sale. I have the $100 and $500 in addition to the framed chip.
