Are you advocating they play the $50 buyin game as 1/1 or bigger or do you suggest they raise the buyin? I'm guessing doing either would kill the game in short orderExactly.

Having the same amount of quarters as singles on the table just seems silly to me. At least singles are used throughout the hand, quarters generally only hit the table preflop and when someone is all in. To each his own, just seems like the desire for that many quarters is purely pregame cosmetics. My vote is for everyone to have a barrel of quarters to start. One barrel of $1's. and the rest in Reds ($5). It's easy. Rebuys in $5's.
Our local 25c/50c cash game had a rule: "No Stupid Bets"You don't have most of the table betting $4.75 rather than $5. There are nights I'll be the only one betting in whole dollars.
Perfect for 5-handed play.My vote is for everyone to have a barrel of quarters to start.
I know Dave and some of the other experienced players are "correct", but I like it this way. just my $0.25...
I don't feel there is a "correct" answer for everyone. It all depends on what your players like and how many you can afford. If you're on a budget 100 is plenty for one table, saving $$ for higher denoms ($1 and $5s) if you have the cash without having to sacrifice a good breakdown of those chips then by all means get as many fracs as you fracking want![]()
