Hi all,

Making good progress with the murdering however, I'm looking for some advice...I like the Horseshoe $25 but I don't think the Jack sec works. I am still looking for another $25 to try as well, the Mark Twain secondary... o_O

More importantly though, because the yellow in the Jack $5s is daisy, not yellow, I am exploring my options there.

What are my options when it comes to red $5 RHC with yellow spots? Shill me your chips!

Cheers,
JP

Hahaha, I knew these would come up...I nearly bought a rack last week. Is the yellow actually yellow though, rather than daisy? Chipguide says yellow, but I am not convinced...

Can't help with $5 suggestions, but for me I prefer the HS $25 as it has better edge spot progression (and doesn't repeat the spot you have on the Boulder chip).

Edit - just saw you added a pic of the Mark Twain chip. This is the winner for sure!

Yeah, I love the Jack secondary in isolation but it just won't work unless I used it as a 5 or something, so that one is out.

The Mark Twain 25s are definitely the winner, but so hard to find. I'd be happy if I had to stick with the Horseshoe secs.

At this price bracket you may as well start looking at THC's? #justsaying  :ROFLMAO:
I have started looking FYI...but I'm stubborn and I'm so far into this project now, I can't face changing! I might do what you did, finish this set, never use it, sell it and start again! But I hope not... :ROFLMAO:

You've done such a sweet job putting this set together I'd stick with it :)
Maybe keep this as your cash set, then build a bad ass THC tourney set :ninja: :cool

I've got 1 barrel left...if you want to start your collection. We will end up with the exact same set though as previously discussed  :ROFLMAO:

Yeah but the bs is my $5. The red crown is my $20. I don’t like red $5s

All you need now are some Isle $1s

Haha nope, I'm going after these Mark Twain $25s...Maybe the Isle could be hundos though
The isle is my hundo.

do we have the same label too? Maybe you send all yours to me and I mill and label all of them then send you your half of the set back. Lol

My label is still only in my head, so if you have the same label as me, questions will be asked...

The isle's do look great, well played.

Those Crown $5s are looking like my best bet at the moment...

I can hardly tell the 2 yellows apart. Will have to try again under natural light.

Yeah, it's not a million miles away and some of the oiled Jack Cinci's do have darker daisy spots that look yellow. I guess I'm just seeing what else is out there, thanks for this image mate, gives me a much better idea of what they'd be like.

Thanks, I wasn't sure whether it was canary or not.

Ideally I would match the spots on the $5s and $25s to the BS which is yellow, unless I'm mistaken. The daisy on the Jack 5s is pretty close, but the canary on the Jack 25s wasn't...so this might mean the Twain's are no good after all...unless I stop obsessing over 3 different shades of the same colour...

I'm pretty sure the Terribles spots are canary but they don't seem to offend my eye as much as the Jack's did. I guess it's due to their size, and the bright pink burning holes in my eyes.

I have a feeling that the best thing to do, will be to get hands on with all these options and then see what passes the eye test. After oiling the Jack 5s, the daisy isn't so obviously pale, when compared to the yellow.

But then, I've just looked now and all of the other spots are canary...are there any canary RHCs I could trade for my BS 2s? :ROFLMAO:
