The posts regarding this seem to be pretty well dated, so I'm reviving the discussion to see if anything has popped up in the meantime.

In a perfect world I'd love to find something like the commonly used (it seems) carts linked below, but with the ability to fold. I feel like there's a bit of a market opportunity here for something similar that both folds and rolls. Short of throwing casters on a TV tray table, I see no folding options....and storage space is hard to come by at the moment. I'd love to hear if anyone's had any brilliant discoveries or custom builds since the older discussions on the topic.

This doesn’t fold as such, but appears to be easy to disassemble into two halves, which would allow for some more compact storage:

Also no cupholder, but adding a drop-in one could be a relatively quick and simple carpentry job.

Two sizes, one with more color options.

Not the all-in-one solution you’re looking for, but possibly a stopgap.

I think the problem is that the three key components (cup holder, folding, casters) are all options less likely to be found in finer furniture.

Maybe something will turn up. But my guess is that you’ll have to find the best option possible in folding tables, and then customize for casters and cup holders.

The cup holders don't concern me too much, I can always put some in and make them removeable, but yea you have a good point. bummer....

Doesn’t meet the rolling or cupholder requirements. DEFINITELY doesn’t meet the ‘furniture grade looking’ needs of most. But I’m posting this here just in case someone stumbles in and has different needs…

I was at a game a few months ago and the host had a stack of these:

They were easy to set up, easy to move, and easy enough to use! (And obviously super easy for him to store!)

Just waiting to drill the holes.

Yea I ended doing the same thing, $20 off amazon for the cart, then whatever the 10 pack of jumbo cups were. We love em!

Guess I should have looked around more. The one disappointing part of the carts I chose is the lack of space to put stuff underneath. Not a big deal but would have been nice to have for sure. Nice work!

Those are kinda cool, and pretty easy to add a couple of cupholders to the top with either bolts or expoxy.
