Howdy, poker folks!

I bought a 10 person poker table that is clearly a DIY build, the previous owner did not know its origin.

I just installed some LED under the arm rail and it turned out nice. My next and really last upgrade I’m interested in is refelting the middle playing surface.

Photo is attached, this seems like a very popular and simple DIY design. Before I just go unscrewing screws and seeing what moves, does anyone recognize this DIY table design and have a scouting report on how that middle area comes up? Concerned with not being certain and attempting to put prying tools to work and risk leaving marks. Thanks!

Ever get around to reclothing that table?
I did! Ended up just unscrewing the screws I suspected were keeping that playing area in place. The install of the speed cloth was fairly easy, and the upgraded foam I put in was great too. Here’s a few photos of the process and final look!

Nice job on the refelt.

Do you happen to have any instructions on how you made the hip holder and attached it to the table? I made some under table snack holders for my table, but adding a chip holder tray would be useful.

That’s the drawer I snagged. This incredibly tight to get in between the cup holders, so it barely fits and I had to bend the brackets a bit to made it work.

Good work. Looks great.

It looks like your table may be the same design as mine. About 15-20 years old.

It's also time for a re-felt here. When I get around to it, I may have questions, player.

Instead of re-felting, you might consider a neoprene topper, such as those made by RJDev (Action Table Toppers) in the Vendor Forum. I re-felted my table twice and while it wasn't that difficult it did take a lot of time and effort. Then I discovered Action Table Toppers. I had a nice design that someone had made for me to use to order a personalized felt (gaming suede or speed cloth), sent it to Ryan, he made some very minor tweaks and then produced the mat. I just laid the mat over the old felt and viola, just like new. But the card slide is much better than any kind of felt and it stays that way forever. Also, you can throw the topper in the washing machine (cold wash, gentle cycle) and hang it out to dry (or tumble on air-dry in the dryer) and it ends up looking like new. Just a thought. But after playing on the topper, I would never go back to re-felting. In fact, I am going to order a second topper.
