Ok, so I am trying again. I can't seem to ever be happy with what I can get vs. what I want. But, here is my first attempt at trying with CPC.

Denoms are .05, .25, 1, 5, 25, 100. The 25 and 100 are oversized.

I like the first 4 denoms as far as flow and progression more than the last 2. Looking for chipe xberts to help me out.

The 44mm chips limit your choices for a progression in a big way. Will you be happy with all 39s if it comes to it? Using the 5 spots in a way like Paul's last two mocks here are a solution. In that case I would change the green chip spot from a double to single pattern.

Actually, I want the 25 to be 39. Don't know what I was thinking. I'm gonna do a 44mm 20. So my oversized chips will be the 20, 100 and 500.

25 should be 39mm.

Will consider all 39, but I'm not a progression nit, so I'll probably try to find a way to be happy with the 3 oversized denoms I mentioned.

@courage and I have been throwing a bunch of mock-ups at @Chicken Rob via email and we thought it best to stick them in the thread here so they won't get lost in the sea of non-mock-up-related emails. Some of the below are subtle variations, but I figured fuck it - throw em all in there.

Denominations will be .05/.25/1/5/20 or 25/100/500.

No love for 618s :( Love the green 25 in the first mockup.

618s may have been omitted for cost reasons. I love 618s. I love 1/8" spots a lot. I'm trying to keep costs down a little so I can get moar.

Yeah mostly this. 618s are very 'spensive (as Tommy knows full well :)).

I see some L8s there. How much more is an L9 618 vs L8?

Like it but you have to keep the original 500

Yeah I really like that chip too, but if you go with a white $100 it doesn't look right. And I wanted a black $20 above, so the white $100 was necessary.

I'm really thinking by the time @Chicken Rob is ready to make decisions he'll feel free to mix and match among all the chips within all my and @courage's mock ups.

My thoughts are to lock in the Pink 212 yellow quarter and the Blurple $1 (he is Blurple Chicken). Then go with a Tiger based $5 and black based 20. Solid for the nickel

Something like one of these?

^^this man knows what he's talking about, except the quarter is retro lavender, which I think is a bit better with tiger.

For some reason I avoided black since I thot chicken was obsessed with using the brightest colors possible.

Edit: I used a tiger nickel because I think he does have a regular micro stakes game where they might like it. But it's prolly better as a $5...

Re: the color of the fracs, I know this is kind of counterintuitive and unpopular, but I kind of like making the nickel and quarter the colors of their higher denom counterparts if possible (i.e., when those higher denoms - $5 and $25 - don't use the traditional colors). So I made the nickel pink/red and the quarter green. I can see how that might rub the wrong way, but since they'll be mostly used in micro-stakes games, it wouldn't bother me personally.

I've always liked the old atomic symbol - doing spots oriented on groups of 3 or 6 would be an interesting play on it
