I’m too new to know you personally. I just wanted to wish you well and join the others sentiments of fuck cancer! If this set were a member of my game, I’d either scoop them up and give the money to you, if needed, or the American Cancer Society if not needed. I think paying double fair market value for a good cause among friends is perfectly reasonable, personally. And if the I needed some help with the money, I’d ask everyone in the game to simply play in your honor and donate their buy ins and winnings (still keeping track of winning, it’s still poker after all!) to the cause. Whoever raises the most money can be the “keeper of the set” of something in between games. They are way too special to sell to just some random guy or gal. Hell, I’d bet the PCF community would join in on a kickstarter program to buy the set for your continuing game in your honor, based on what I’ve read in the comments. If anyone wants to take the wheel on something along those lines, put me down for a hundo to start things off.
