Here's the structure for an event I am considering: http://www.wsop.com/pdfs/structuresheets/structure_1622_17462.pdf

So if I understand this, there's a 200 ante beginning in round 3, and the ante increases every round to match the big blind?

In other words, every orbit at a 9-handed table costs a player 10.5BBs?

Other structures, such as this one for the $5k NLHE specify that the ante is a 'BB ante', which makes more sense.

I heard a while back that all antes are posted by the BB... but these structure sheets more or less contradict that.

Can anyone share any insights as to how to this is supposed to work?

For WSOP, any ante where ante = big blind is a big blind ante. Should be all NLHE events this year at WSOP, but WSOPC still has some that are not big blind ante

Any ante where ante is roughly 1/8 or so of the big blind is a standard old-school ante
