I am working on putting together a paulson tournament set. I will put new labels on all of the chips I get. I dont really have anyone to play with at home but ive always just wanted a little paulson set because I like them. Im gonna aim for 400 chips since i hate odd number racks. Im a software developer, website and graphic designer. I had a project in negotiations to trade work for a 600 chip set but it didnt work out. I got so sad! I also got ripped off on 2 barrels of Detroit Jack $100s.

Anyway here are the chips ive ordered a few barrels of on a budget but I cant be for sure the exact weight and mm for each if anyone can help out. I purchased through Apache. I hate the red Majestic but they are $12 a barrels.

Thanks for your help! My setup woud probably be something like

1 rack of the white Horseshoe Cincinnati - T-100
1 rack of Red Majestic - T-500
3 barrels of Jack Cincinnati - T-1000
2 barrels of Jack Cincinnati Secondary - T - 5000

For my 4th rack either a T-50 or a higher denom like T-10,000 or T-25,0000. Ill try to find a rack on here for $120-$150 of something else. Or ill just get extra barrels of each to end up with 400.

What are your calculations for starting stack size/breakdown, number of players, number of potential rebuys?
Good questions allforcharity. I have a WSOP CPC set for any tournament or game I ever run. As it stands I dont have enough poker friends in my town to play heads up outside of my family lmao

Okay, now I'm confused. I thought that you were going to relabel all these chips here with the T-values in your OP, but you didn't define the starting stack, number of players, or the number of rebuys, which makes it hard to give advice about optimal breakdowns to keep total chip count to 400.

I think I'm going to have to pick up
all chips posted are 39mm. weight will vary slightly based on colour and wear.
Thank you very much!
I think I'll end up having to scoop up 1 or 2 racks of something else but similar and in better shape off here when they pop up on a good sale for like $120-$150 a rack. Expecially to replace the reds. Then I could just stretch everything to make the 4th rack.

I appreciate all of the feedback and the answer the the 39mm and weight.

No, I get it allforcharity. Its a strange question I'm asking. Kind of like shooting blind. Ill re-label them with something fun. Just didn't wanna miss like "make sure you have T-50". Ignore my ignorance. Thanks tho.

It super important to match the condition of all the denomination in the same set.

Esp true in a Tourney set as each denomination will become workhorse chip at some point.

As a reference, the condition of your

$1 will be about 7/10
$5 will be about 5/10
$25 & $100 will be about 9/10

+1

Since you’re going through the trouble of getting your own labels, I would not ignore this issue. There’s good chance that you will not be happy with the results. There are people here far more OCD than I am, so this is from someone that for instance don’t care too much about slightly different versions of chips in BCC lines. But I’ve had sets with different condition chips and find it super annoying. I don’t own any of them anymore.

Thanks you @LeLe and @Eriks thats good advice. I love the condition of the $25 and $100. The $5s are killing me. At this point I will get better quality chips for the $5s. They are the roughest by far.

I like these two over at apache. I may just have to be patient and buy over time. I have seen some good deals on white Horseshoe, IG and Cincinnati on here.

Those fives would be a better fit but still not a match, I think. Yepp, patience is key

Comparison of condition in barrel

9/10, 7-8/10, 6-7/10, <5/10

Your MS $5 are on the further right

The 2nd column on the right is what I cherry-pick from the lots to get 2 racks to match the rest of the condition with the set

Thank you @lelea the visual helps 100x. Yea, they are pretty rough lol.

I'll probably be checking on here till I see an affordable rack in good shape. And something that would match. Would love to find blue chips.

Thanks again!
