I am trying to get a $5 $10 $25 set. It seems to be extremely hard to find a $10 denomination Poulsen chip. So I’m trying to figure out what to do. Was thinking about buying Some hot stamped chips in buying my own labels for them. But before I do that I want to know if I put them on the chips is it going to ruin the hot stamp if I try and take them off later?

Why do you want $10 chips? Most of us don't like having that many denominations on the table, we usually stick to like $1, $5, $20/25, $100 so that we can represent more money on the table; $10s fall awkwardly between the 5 and 20s. You can definitely still make them, sure, but they're not common for a reason.

Most of the hot-stamped chips would require you mill them before adding a label, this means taking off the layer that has the stamp and making room for a label. This would definitely ruin the hotstamp; if you just apply the sticker/label over the hotstamp it may not lie flat, and then your chips won't stack together very well, tipping to one side or even wearing away at the points where the label is highest.

OK thank you that’s kind of what I was wondering. I don’t know me and my friends have used $5.10 dollar and $25 for 20 years now and I really really like that set up. Makes all of the chips more usable. Like let’s say a $40 bet you could use four $10 easily. Or a $25 a $10 and a $5. That’s just what we are used to. I bought Mixed set of Paulsons about 10 years ago $500 $1000 $5000. Nobody likes using them. Towards the middle of the tournament we just end up using the $5000 only. Just really really like using the &5 $10 $25.

Sure. For that same reason, you're adding in a whole new chip color and design and stacking it separately, versus two $20 chips, or a neat stack of 8 $5s. I get what you're saying, just explaining why many of us and casinos have leaned towards the efficiency of each denom being 4-5x higher than the last, so that we can have big stacks of certain chips with others as higher values.

Whatever you make will be great, no worries, every game is different. But my players like using more chips!

Yes I understand that. That way you’re still using your lowest denominations there at least I’m just saying We don’t like using the $1 Makes the blinds odd numbers. That was just one example. Like let’s just say a three times the blind bet would be $18 my group generally just round it up to $20 Making the bets a little bigger than they should be. The $1 just don’t get used in betting pretty much only get used for the blinds. Like I said it just makes things odd numbers That my group just doesn’t like betting in. We just like the 5 10s and 25s

Happy knights $10 chips are awesome. But being green may make it difficult to find a $25 chip to use with it.
