Wanting to buy Protege chips. Maybe that’s an unrealistic dream, but more now than when they were in production. :D

If you are interested in selling but don't want to break up your set, we can probably work something out.

I'm looking to build both cash & tournament sets of these, so most values are in demand.

stack = barrel = 20 chips
numbers below refer to stacks
bold = most helpful for enhancing my existing set

Left to find

Orange non-denoms*: 1+
Other non-denoms: 1+
5¢: 1+
10¢: 1+
25¢*: 1+
50¢: 1+
$1: 1-10
$2: 1+
$2.5: 1-20
$5: 1-40
$10: 1+
$20: 1
$25: 1+, especially matching these
$100*: 1+
$500: 1+, especially matching these
$1k*, $5k*, 25k, 100k: 1+

Thanks for looking.

* depending on variety/color - PM me!

you just missed out on these by maybe a month, someone was selling a 2000 chip collection, he sold them all off though

Yeah, my timing has never been great. It does give me hope for the future though..at least there's proof of Protege's changing hands every now and then :)

Fantastic chips, aren't they. I wish I grabbed a cash set of these back in the day. Good luck with your search. There is a lot of 20 on eBay at the moment if that helps. I think it might be the same guy who sold the big set here but I'm not sure. That's just based on the multiple font changes and overload of details in the advert haha.

Yep same guy. I already bought up all the rest of them, I think he's just waiting to pull the auction/post until the payment is squared away and they're shipped out :)

Still looking for cash-range chips, especially $1 & 25¢ (in that order). Added some trades offers to the OP. If nobody takes me up on them I'll just have to start a tournament set..

(bump)

Behold..my entire collection of playable Proteges. One part chip porn, one part visual testimony..for the need to get more. Finding a seller is like waiting for aces..who knows how long it'll take, and what will happen when the time comes.

And so concludes my wordy-ass bump. Cheers :)

Bump again.

Since @Tommy hooked me up with 185 quarters, I'd love to find 15-20 additional quarters to round out that rack.
Beyond that, the chip that increases playability most is $1. I'm still looking for multiple racks of those and of course $5.

Look at this guy ^^ gets 185 25¢ and still wants even racks ;)

Good luck with your search. I know how tilting uneven stacks/racks can be.

Hi Everyone,

Poker Chip Forum noob here. Years ago a I bought a set of Protege chips, but over purchased some $25 and $50 chips. So I'm finally deciding to put them up for sale.

These have never been used and I only just took them out of the box to count them. I have:

100 - $25 Chips (green)
200 - $50 Chips (light blue)

Let me know if you are interested!

Hey Joe. I don't have any of the $1's but I do have a handful of the matching blue non-denoms that I could spare. Its only 10 or so.

Oh man..so tempting. I'll think on it for a bit and send you a PM. They're not super useful for my cash game, I'm afraid. I don't want to use the $50s as 50¢ chips since the color is similar to the dollar, and I already have far more $25s than I'll ever normally need. Not to mention some hundos that may actually never get used. :D

I just have to decide if I can convince the crew to play the occasional tournament..hmm

Wanting to buy Protege chips. Maybe that’s an unrealistic dream, but not more unrealistic than me affording a set back when they were in production. :D

I'm looking to build both cash & tournament sets of these, so most values are in demand. Here's the what's left to find:

stack = barrel = 20 chips

Orange non-denoms: 1+ stacks
$0.25: ~6 stacks
$0.50: ~1-5 stacks
$1: ~16 stacks
$2.50: ~1-5 stacks
$5: ~15 stacks
$25: 1+ stacks, especially matching these
$100: 1+ stacks
$500: 1+ stacks, especially matching these
$1k, $5k, 25k, 100k: 1+ stacks

Will pay more for full racks.

If you are interested in selling but don't want to break up your set, we can probably work something out. If all you can part with is a barrel..great! Please help me build a set! :)

Thanks for looking.

I really wish I could have gotten a sample set of those. They looked really nice. Too bad SidePot with likely never make another clay chip again

A complete sample set sold for $100 on Ebay a few months back. Sadly, that's the last one I've seen. They're out there, though..but be ready to pay. :)
