I assume they’re some kind of plastics, but these days who knows?

I dunno, maybe I just hate the look of plastics.

Serial numbered, nice.

That's a pain in the ass for a stamper unless you have highly specialized equipment. Have to change it and let it heat up for each one.

I did a bunch of Wayne Industries bonds for the viral thing. Each was individually numbered so it was a chore.

probably just the $25ks?
It looks like the $25k and $5k have inlays that are like half and half, but the others don’t? At least the black and yellow $1ks don’t seem to be like that? I think the $500s are gray, so I suppose the whites would be $100, but I’m not sure why they have them in a $500/$1000 table

Last year it was just the Matsui 25k and the giant inlay Paulsons for all the other denoms. This is better IMO. I like them better than the giant inlay Paulsons. I like them better than the nondenominated ceramics triton has for their nosebleeds.

But Aria is still king at these stakes and not close at all.

Commentator is surprised to see someone wearing a fanny pack at a poker game...huh.
What does a fanny pack hold, $40k or so?

I think the $25s and $100s are there for the rake…$25/half hour per player.

Just sounded funny, dont expect their rolls to be in there lol but you're right. Cant exactly hold a buyin. Just so used to seeing them.

It's not only the chips but also the table that I highly dislike. Above all the shape, next the LED and last the color of the felt.

Lol at 7:49, Steve donks 1% pot, Durr considering raise for value, Steve asks “is it easier if I tell you what I have”, durr responds “feel free to tell me what you have”, steve says “I have J2 [trips], is it good”, durr then value raises his two pair, gets snapped off by J2, durr looks stunned

I actually think those are better looking than those fugly giant inlay monstrosities I've seen in their cash games
Not exactly a high standard. But then again, those monstrosities have been knocked off by Tina, so there’s no accounting for taste.

There were some wild hands last night. I’m surprised Dwan made some of the river calls he made. Maybe because thin river calls were why he won so much last year. Looking forward to watching tonight.

Day 1…watch
Day 2…skip
Day 3…watch!!!!!

the chips might be plastic but there are lots!! That’s a big stack!

I actually watched only the highlights of day 1.
Day 2 with Doug and Dwan was great. Great short handed action. Good table talk at least in the first half of the stream. David Tuchman is one of the best commentator.
Excited about day 3.

+1 on Day 3 being must watch.

The people’s champ (Keating) dominating, including winning a $2M flip. Texas Mike lost over $2.7M in the session.
One of the most watchable lineups I can remember. Keating and Texas Mike playing what, 70-80% of hands? Texas Mike going insane with overbets. Steve has fantastic banter and just fun to watch. Tom Dwan in his element also with great banter. Somebody trying so hard to conceal their identity they muck a winner in a 500k pot. Tuchman in the booth brilliantly staying out of the way when needed, complementing the show perfectly.

I’m so glad someone else dislikes the look of these chips!

I prefer the older set. At least those ones actually look like a put together set. These ones just look like someone thought “let’s throw together ALL of the colors”

At least the action is fun to watch.

Fun to watch in general but some of these marginal calls and horrible runouts have been nauseating.

I just see the highlight hands from Twitter but this Texas Mike guy is baffling to watch.

I've always felt that the vibe hustler goes for tries a little too hard to look cool. Like an early 2000s style cool.

Agreed these chips are bad. The lodge stream has actually nudged me towards these single-ish colour ceramics, they're good for TV anyway. I didn't expect that would happen.
