Messing around with game card designs on the card printer. Once I lock in a design, I plan to make a full set of game cards. They’re already pretty durable since the image is printed on a film and then fused to the PVC card, but I think I found a used laminator module add-on for a good price.

Open to suggestions for layout and design.

A layout similar to Abby's cards would be great for being able to see the layout from across the table - provided the space is big enough.
FWIW, I’ve never found those cards to be intuitive. All our brains work differently and mine is certainly weird, but I bet I’m not the only one.

Would it be possible to have information on one side (like this example) and a graphic like abby99’s cards on the other side?

This. For games with a less-than-brief explanation, will there be enough room on the cards without a tiny font?

Printing on both sides should provide enough space with the font size increased. I’ll create a few more test cards.

I’ll see what I can put together.

I really like the idea of having the Abby style quick visuals on one side and a more detailed order of operations on the other side.

I’d be interested in some as well!

I’m the same. Just play one hand face up, and u know how to play it. Not a fan of these. But gotta start somewhere I suppose!

The front will have game info and the backs will have the dealing and betting cycle info.

What games would made a decent set? These are the 8 I have so far.

To make the cards and text bigger, I'm changing the header on the backs, I will add a bar behind the text and number box to match the ones on the fronts.

* I'm aware of the 2 As, it will get updated. :)

The drawback is that you need someone to teach you the game. An instructional card should be able to teach a table full of newbs how to play. If you have an someone that already knows, a card with just the name is plenty.

The word "bet" should denote small bet or big bet for fixed limit games. Perhaps a black font on the big bet rounds, or make the bet "plaques" appear 2 high?

Couldn't that go on the front in the notes section?

For Flop/Turn/Rivers I’d also consider making the previously dealt cards dim, or grey, and just the newest card white to help illustrate that it’s just one new card being dealt and not 4 or 5 new cards being dealt.

I know this is suuuuuper basic, but I could see someone getting confused and by “greying” out the existing community cards you would help avoid that.
