Agree with you entirely sir. Just wanted to throw my handling experience out there, personally. I've got huge hands and they really didn't do it for me

There is no denying they are nice chips. Different too.

I’m not a big dude with large hands and I thought that they felt toy like due to their size.

They did handle fairly well and I’d likely get used to them but meh

Yes, I'm on the fence on these. It would be nice to have a 36mm solid set to compliment my 43mm set, just unsure if I could get used to the size.

Either way, cant go wrong with Paulson chips at a great price!

The longer I wait, the more time I have to think and I have a sample of 36MM and I’m not 100% either way.

Also those HS Cincinnati secondaries look great.so tempting to put together a small tourney set of those. Also tempted with the CIC chips. Think I am limiting myself to sample sets this go. Argh.

I was wanting to do this also. A Tournament set of these would be amazing!

The whole ad is tempting. Argh!

It's probably good I'm broke at this juncture.

Here is a pic with a 36mm chip over top of a 39mm chip so you can visually see the difference. The bottom chip is $100 Horseshoe Cincinnati Secondary.

@The Chip Exchange do the HSC $1k Secondary have slight warping, or only the primary?

Thanks,
Grant

The Secondaries have a little more then the primaries so both have it to some degree but it is no different then what I have been selling the last 3 years. I have only had one person comment on the warping and It was actually about the secondary $25s. I have never had anyone comment on the $1000s warping but there is some that have it.

If anyone has bought some from me over the past 3 years please feel free to give your input so that there is complete transparency. I don't want my bias to influence anyone inaccurately.

If I was selling a 39mm WSOP set with inserts it would look kinda like this.....

500 pc set with the same breakdown would be around $2000 to $2500 depending on color and design (36mm solids = $350)
300 pc set with the same breakdown would be around $4000 to $4500 depending on color and design (36mm solids = $430)

The WSOP logo alone makes these rare and iconic!

Just to give you an idea of my assessment (IMHO)

There is a noticeable difference in feel between 36mm and 39mm but I think these are priced accordingly as you will never be able to touch a Real Authentic (actually used in an official WSOP tournament) WSOP tournament set for anywhere near this price.

Here they are in play in an actual WSOP event at The Horseshoe Cincinnati...

A fair amount of the primary $1ks actually have some warping I think. Barrels are pretty wobbly. I thought it was just me.

Here is a comparison shot with primaries and Jack's.

The chip in the middle of the middle barrel is extreme but the rest of that stack looks pretty accurate. It looks like they are the about the same hight as the Jacks per barrel though.

Novice question here: Are there racks for the 36mm chips, or do they fit well in the 39mm standard racks? Also, how do they handle compared to the 39mm Chips?
The 36mm chips will fit in a 39mm x 66.7mm rack pretty snugly. Barrel length/height (i.e. chip thickness) are the same.

They handle pretty similar to RHC chips, just smaller. Going from playing with a 43mm IHC set for several hours down to a 39mm RHC set makes them seem small, but you adjust pretty quickly. Going from a 39mm set to the 36mm chips is a very similar experience.

I like to think of the 36mm hat and cane chips as MHC. Mini Hat & Cane. It is an unused abbreviation.
I've been using AHC -- alternating hat & cane (since the mold images alternate facing left and right around the rim).

This may have been asked and answered but I did not see it.

The WSOP Tourney set says it includes 200 T1K chips, but the picture only shows 180. Is the description right or the picture?

200, nice catch.

it will have

200 T1,000s
80 T5,000s
20 T25,000s

300 Total for $429.99

The $1000s Primaries that are in the sale are a little more used then the ones pictured by grantc54. but there does not appear to be as much warping, very little actually.

Full disclosure, 2 of the barrels were purchased from other forum members, I do not know the path they took from @The Chip Exchange to me. There is a chance at some point someone cherry picked and the more warped ones were sold off. I recall the first barrel I got direct seemed to be in better overall shape.

@The Chip Exchange has been great to buy from and I plan on buying chips in the sale tomorrow!
