Am I reading this right... There's a 500 chip THC set for $250? Yes, they are hot stamped, but it's still a THC set for $250??? I've never even held one... How would I not buy this?

Yeah, and there's a 500 THC with labels for $350 if you really hate hot stamp... I mean... What am I missing??? I've always wanted the chance to touch one of these but it's just been too expensive... But these prices seem too good, so I'm missing something right?
The only hot stamp and also only THC are the Town Tavern chips.

Aren't the "HORSESHOE CINCINNATI TOURNAMENT SET" THC? What about the other Cincinnati tourney chips, those look like THC too. Yes, they are 36mm ... But does that make them less desirable?
They are most similar to RHC chips. Basically a smaller version. 36mm vs 39mm for both RHC and THC.
Still a hell of a deal and awesome chips. But the smaller size does feel completely different especially if you’re used to standard 39mm

I'm used to 43mm now. Stupid sexy Royals. But I don't have any tournament sets. To me, this looked like a THC tourney set for $350. That seems to awesome to pass up.
Now off to lookup what RHC stands for so I don't sound like an idiot next time...

It’s still a hell of a deal. Inlaid paulsons in great condition for 50 cents apiece? If I needed a tournament set, I wouldn’t hesitate. I’ve shuffled stacks of these chips. They feel great. They’re a bit smaller. Obviously I’d rather full size chips. But the price is right.
These are RHC chips, not THC. I like RHC, but they aren’t as durable as THC. Still a great value for the money.

The Cincinnati chips are RHC. The Scandia are THC. Both are beautiful chips

And Yes, you can get 500 for $248 with a Dealer Button and 2 decks of cards included - They are 36mm (not 39mm)

You are not missing anything......
They all have labels and none of them are Hot Stamped. HSC stands for "Horseshoe Cincinnati" (not Hot Stamped)
They are also all 36mm and not the standard chip size of 39mm
If they were 39mm they would be a lot more expensive.

Gotcha... I'm clear on how this all works now and that they are RHC 36mm which is why their cost is lower. Still Paulson. Still tourney. Still great price. Still need to be mine!

Standard 39mm racks work fine... I don't think I've ever seen 36mm racks...
Hah, that's what I figured. I picked up a baby birdcage from ABC during a flash sale and it would be perfect for this set. So I guess I'll have to come up with another good question to ask @shorticus about my new set at 3:00:00:00.001 EST.
