Got mine in yesterday. Some quick thoughts...
I was expecting the card stock to be rather stiff and textured akin to the Faded Spade offerings lately, as it's been established through detective work that Kuo Kao is the print house for Faded Spade. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the stock on these cards had a little bit of texture on the faces, and a matte finish on the backs of the cards. Not glossy like the cheap China made offerings. I would call it a linen finish on the faces.
The cards are about moderate in thickness, but have quite a bit of flex to them. I'd put them between Angel Aristo Club (most flex) and Dal Negro/Fournier (less flex) in terms of how they shuffle. Very easy and very nice to hand shuffle.
Back artwork is great! Not hard at all to determine which cards are purple and which are green. Card face artwork I like a lot! Red ink is very distinguishable from the black ink. Love the cream centered boxes. My only concerns (if anything) is how the numbered cards will look from the other end of a poker table to the other. If you're playing on a round table, no problem at all. Due to the font on these cards being quite narrow, I can easily see some mistakes being made from across the table if someone isn't counting the pips in the center box. I could see 4's and 7's, Aces and 4's, 2's and 3's and 5's all being mistaken for each other. The flip side of this is that if you're playing mixed games with these with three cards or more in the mitt, it's really easy to fan out the cards minimally and be able to read all of the cards, making them a viable option for non hold em play.
Put me in the +1 camp for bridge size cards with just a bit larger of an index on the same stock! Blue/red or orange/blue please if I have a vote!
