Poor baby chippies

You won’t be thirsty no more! Now who’s a good chippie?

.... too much?

nice set..the $5 and up chips are useful (to me)

Now the 50c pieces aren’t too useful.

I wouldn’t need more than 120 $1s and $5s and a sprinkling of $25s.

If I only went with what I “need”.

This is too hard.... might have to move on to the next set

Yes, move on to the next set. The InPlays would be hard to replace if you ever got a real bad case of sellers remorse. The Clevelands would be much easier to put together if you really wanted them back!

Clevelands are up next.

2nd Set - Horseshoe Cleveland

Wow, did not realize I had this many. Considering they have never been in play. I also haven’t finished all the fractionals yet!

I have:

200 x 5c (have all the labels, need to finish cleaning and putting them on)
200 x 25c (plus I am PRETTY sure I have another rack of Lucky Derbys $1s somewhere and all the labels to go with it)
410 x $1
394 x $5 ( I must have missed locating a few chips, I’d never had done something so cruel to myself!)
224 x $25
104 x $100
24 x $500

1,557 chips approximately? But I think there’s about 100+ more.

I have a much easier time letting this whole set go... except the ones. I looooove THC mood and I wish I could have the ones in near new condition.... breaks my little heart!

I am almost positive I have another stack of $5s laying around that I use to shuffle. I would never intentionally have procured a hair shy of a hundred ... going to drive me bonkers ...

If it’s delicate enough for a baby butt, then it’s delicate enough for my chippies.

Besides that scent disappears almost instantly ... only the juicy minerals stay locked in.

BCC holds it for 6-12 months. Unless you’re in a dry basement like mine :(

I use the same thing for my chips and the smell dissipates quickly.

So I’ve sat on it all day. I think... THINK.... I want to let my Horseshoe Clevelands go.

Should I try to break it into multiple sets or sell as a whole set or by the rack?

What is it even worth? Is it still worth Chip room prices?

Ugh... I don’t like coming up with prices !

Here's a recent Horseshoe Cleveland sale that would give you a starting point for prices... https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/13-000-cleveland-horseshoe-chips.24887/

One vote for selling them by the rack. These seem to be plentiful enough that I think you'd have more luck with people picking up racks to improve their existing sets than finding someone interested in pulling the trigger on a whole set.

Oh... and backup dibbs on the pink chips. :whistling:

I think by the rack makes sense!

Also I will finish cleaning the pink horsies before I put them up for sale :)

So I am running out of space on my chip shelves and feeling like a hoarder.
Check.

I don’t usually sell any of my Paulson or BCC sets but I think it might be time to trim them up a bit.
Check.

I think it will become more clear when I put all my chips (sans the Chinese ones) on my table together (if I can fit them all).
I recommend this. See here. Prepare to be marveled and overwhelmed at the same time. Since I took this photo, I've sold 900 chips from the PCA set.

If you have 200 labeled 5c and 300 labeled 25c, I am interested in all, plus some 1s and 5s. Depending on price of course.
I will look for the other 100 quarters and let you know!

Of course I will clean up and label the nickels.

Let me take a look around.

My pricing will be fair and close to the chip room price or going rate ... I’m not looking to profiteer. :)

I will send PMs to interested parties and then setup a classified for the remainder.

Taking the night off until later! Playing some rocket league.

Custom with real shaped inlays FTW (y) I'm considering a re-order of my Broken Bells with shaped inlays.

DIBS...dibs dibs dibs...on those original Broken Bells with round inlays...you won't be needing those once you get the shaped inlay re-orders.

DIBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So the good news is I found the extra rack of Lucky Derbys !!! And I have all the quarter labels.

Bad news is those lucky derbys are grossly dirty!

So I’m cleaning up all the remaining fracs and will repost with them all clean and labeled!

I wouldn't trim your sets or sell any of them but I might be a chip hoarder

This is my umpteenth hobby. Well, chips aren’t really a hobby for me. I really just want a few sets to use in my cash game and some roulettes. Not collecting.

First, my advice on what to keep: if you lost everything in a fire, what would you repurchase with the insurance money? Past that. As others have stated, try to hold on to the chips that would be the most difficult to replace.

So, I started with Majestics, then bought Clevelands. I didn’t care for them, and keeping myself honest, I flipped them - lost a few bucks, but I considered that chip rental ;)

I then picked up a set of Terrible's. I do like them, but am realizing that clay might not be my thing. Unfortunately, I picked up a set of clay Pharoahs before I realized that - they are going to be sold.

I suspected all along that a custom set is where I would end up, but needs to try sets along the way. Sample sets are fine, but I need to play the chips...that’s me.

As of now, the Majestics are my work horse and we all like them.

I picked up a Tiki set and feel like ceramics might be for me. Haven’t played them yet, but will soon. As you know, I did my part to help your addiction and picked up your Nine Dragons set(y) Can’t wait to see those. And I’m looking to host a casino night, so any solids you want to sell might catch my eye as well:D

Good luck. It’s a task. I do have other hobbies, where I need to liquidate. My wife said when I die it will all end up in a dumpster.
