King's Crown!

Though not a playable set (without some creativity), I wanted to post my recent addition. Today, I received 5 sample sets that were props from the movie Poseidon. Ten years ago, the original purchaser (Winters from Chiptalk) obtained the 300 chips created by TRK for the movie in a charity auction and split them up into sample sets that got distributed across the world (link below). These are his remaining samples along with his last deck of cards from the movie.

In addition, Winters also sent me a check from El Rancho Vegas written to TRK in 1952. I was blown away at his generosity and truly excited to receive some amazing pieces of memorabilia. Needless to say, I attempted to recruit him over to PCF, as someone with such awesome pieces clearly has much to contribute to our community.

30 down, 270 more to go ;)

I've never seen the hundo before. I take it there is a very limited supply?

Not as common as the ones or fives, but they're out there. When the JB horde was released a couple years ago there was a decent amount (for a casino TRK) of $100s floating around. The best part is they are usually in the best condition of the JB chips.

The Mapes set I once owned were IMHO the most beautiful chips I have ever seen. I started collecting poker chips in 2007, a year after TRK closed its doors, if I remember correctly. Very sad indeed.

I'm not 100% positive but I believe I purchased your Mapes from the person you sold them to.
