Nice collection there!

Curious on opinions: If I have a decent stack of random TRK chips, would it be better to do an auction or raffle? Lots of hot stamps (many KC hoststamps), some inlaid too.
Well, if you have any of the following, I'd appreciate first crack for my set:
Kings Crown hotstamps:
Signal green $25
TRK Purple $100
Lavender $500
Tropicana Gold $1000

Thx!

I would like to see auctions for rare, hard to find chips... gives those interested a decent shot... if chips are considered common then perhaps just a for sale ad.

At any rate, send me pics... and I'll offer ya something.. :)

I'm pretty sure I have most of those so will offer you dibs on one of each. I've received a few PM's and honestly don't remember some of the inlaid chips I have left -- tend to include 'surprise' chips when I sell some chips. So have given a lot away. I'll try to go through my chip storage. Also don't want to do 20 packages. So plan to offer most in one lot.

I don't want to thread jack much (this is supposed to be a pron thread).

Hey David, not sure if you are aware, but those Harrah's chips are from Bette Midler's movie, Jinxed. Think it was in the early 80's. They were never used in the actual casino, though.

Yep, that's correct. I bought a sample set off eBay a while back. It would be nice to see a playable set show up.

If you ever are inclined to sell these, please let me know!
These are my absolute favorite, but I will definitely let you know if I decide to part with them.

In addition to being AMAZING mint chips, they were unknowingly purchased from Glen O'Neil (the current owner of TRKing). It wasn't until he issued me a refund check (see attached) for some chips that were damaged in shipping that I realized who the chips came from. Needless to say, I nearly passed out when I received the check, and the check remains uncashed sitting with the set.:D

If you do remote banking on your cell phone, you can take a pic and deposit the check that way.

I do not, but shouldn't be too hard to figure out.

Although Glen was AWESOME to deal with, and I didn't mind eating a few dollars. He never told me who he was, just that he was mailing me a check. Th excitement I felt when I saw the check was WAY MORE valuable than the $60 refund. :D

Plus' these little gems were buried in the chips.

That is such a cool story!

You should ask him what he did with the chip mold. You know, for a friend who is interested...

That would AMAZING, but I would probably have spend the first 30 minutes reminding him about how we became "friends" (i.e., an eBay purchae a couple years ago) before he even remembered who I was  :ROFLMAO:

Worst he could say is go away. Or even not respond.

I would totally urge you to reach out and report back details!
